Our team has played for two games. At this point, according to assorted posters, our FO, coaches, O, and D are all horrible. Will anything change? Is patience really a good thing?

I'm trying to be fair in considering we have and how they have not done so far. We do not get much of any info on injuries not reported, and I'm also considering injuries in camp, the first two weeks, as well as new players fitting in.

RB- Miller is hurting, AJ is/was hurt.

TE- Camerron is hurting and new, Sims is/was hurt.

WR- Stills missed a lot of time and is new. Parker missed a lot of time and is new.

OL- Albert is really hurting. Douglas is new.

DL- Suh is/was hurting. Wake is/was hurting. OV is/was hurting. Mitchell is hurting.

DB- Delmas is gone. Taylor is/was hurting. Jones is hurting.

That's a whole lot of players we counted on in our preseason expectations. I see a much different tem in our near future. Ya know, kinda like the one most of us thought it would be.

Many teams have injuries and the good ones overcome. Pats had a new center and rookie guard going against a brutal Rex Ryan dl and they kept brady real clean. Us on the other hand get manhandled by subpar teams. Hope I'm wrong but our coaching blows.

1-1, but the team has been dominated in both games by 2 below average teams. The Redskins killed us in time of possession (37min to 23min). Usually, thats a formula for winning. The Redskins are probably still wondering how they lost that game.
The team has looke mediocre. Hopefully, its just a chemistry/timing thing and they get hot for the 2nd half of the season (the opposite of what they usually do).

How about the fan base that is hurting? It's painful to watch these bastards, yeah I said it, play pat-a-cake when these are professional big men that need to break stuff. They've turned muscle into marshmallows. It is foolish to blame new players or injuries because that isn't the problem, the problems are the same things every year, every game. I was fooled by the hype, and the Tannenbaum talk, but that's all it is, talk. Quit talking and do it I say. Save the bull****.

That "brutal" Buff D had 2 sacks vs Luck for 3 yards, and 2 vs Brady for 15 yards. According to some, they are almost as disappointing as we are.

Rush...I think we are seeing a trend ...in both games we saw a poor run defense and poor running game. This team has struggled to put points on the board. We have an o-line that has been bad to say the least.

If it were just about a couple of injuries I would be with you, but it is a very fundamental failings in some of our most important units. The d-line is getting very little pressure, the offensive line outside of the two players are getting beat consistently, the LB unit is playing ok, but is so often out of position on plays or so late to react that we are getting gashed and the DB work outside of Grimes and Jones is plain awful.

Were you fooled by the hype or, the lack of hype in two bad games? :)

Excellent post and I'm also concerned if Aikens is ready.

No disputing anything you posted. I'm just waiting a while before judging.

How about we put it this way we knew we had some warts coming into the season, but there was a hope some other parts of the team could help overcome some of those like the DLine and the revamped WR group etc. but so far it has not, but yes it's still early. We have won plenty of September games in the past that have accounted for little in the end...

A rush to judgement??? Philbin isn't in his 2nd game as head coach of this team; he's in his 4th year as the head coach of this team.
Every team in the league has to deal with personnel changes and injuries every season. If we were a Super Bowl winner with an abundance of stars all seeking huge contracts, I could understand why we'd take a step backwards. But we're not a Super Bowl winner; we're not even a playoff contender. We're a crappy franchise and if Philbin were any kind of good coach, we'd be making leaps forward instead of being mired down in mediocrity season after season. Maybe you need another season or two or five to assess Philbin but I've already smelled the bottom of my shoe and I know what we've stepped in with him.
