My beef with Russell was always his playmaking under fire in big games. He makes some great plays, but also has that Daunteish ability to just throw a killer at the wrong time.
However, watching that Bowl game he played very well end to end. He made good plays all day, didnt let up, showed his physical attributes very well and just ran the offense like a machine. This was arguably the biggest game of his college career and he aced it. That answered alot of questions for me.
That all said, if hes around by #9 I will be astounded. His combine numbers will be off the charts and I dont see that as hurting him. Almost certainly gone in the top 3 now.
Quinn to me has been very overrated. Hes got a solid base, but has yet to step it up in a big game, ND seems to blow it every time. And granted they got outplayed by LSU as a team, but to only put up 14 pts in the game and 0 in the second half is inexcusable for a guy who many are touting as the #1 pick to me.
I eagerly await Smiths game in the BCS bowl here, if he knocks it out I can see him going top 10 with no issues either. Brohm I think is also there. Five potential QBs going in the top 15 when you add the possibility of Brennen declaring, this could be a banner year for QBs.
