What makes me nervous about Russell is the following...

I have lived in Louisiana and watched every start Russell has made for LSU. He is indeed a physical specimen whom many say he has the strongest arm in the history of the game. Its whats between his two ears that makes me nervous. He is not the sharpest of tools and it is very obvious during the games he has lost in his career. 9 out of 10 of his wins each season have been blowouts and the close games he has played against stiffer competition, he has made horrible and stupid decisions and he holds on to the ball way too long. Most of his incompeltions are a result from a pass thrown behind the receiver. When the competition is tough, he makes poor and stupid throws and turnovers are the result. Maybe Im spliting hairs, but I think he may not pan out like everyone anticipates. I have always felt like Culpeppers success in his early career was a result of the tag team between himself and Moss and even Cris Carter.
All dante had to do was throw the ball in the direction of Moss, and Moss would find a way to out jump the defenders and come donw with the ball. I cant help but think Russell future in the NFL will be dependent of his receivers abilitiys to make plays.
On the other hand, I listened to an interview with Weiss thie morning on NFL network, and Weiss says that Quinn is much more ready for the pro level than any qb coming out in recent history. Weiss says Quinn has done nothing but study Manning and Brady and Weiss has coached Quinn to emulate Brady over the last 3 years at Notre Dame. I know Quinn may not have the cannon arm like Russell, but I like whats between his ears, he is smart and you can not win in this league without an exceptional and smart qb, which is what we have been missing since the departure of Marino. I like the idea of someone attempting to emulate that of Brady and Manning and if I had my wish I would rather take my chances with Quinn over Russell.

Wrong forum, but nice name (no amaechi)

Wow...why dont u mkae it smaller? Im goin to copy that, and paste it my WORD so i could read it...

My God, you people are complaining about something that's only one-point size smaller? Anyway... we don't have a shot at either of them, so I'm not too concerned who's (smarter) vs. who's (Vince Young).

P.S. That's a joke by the way.

I agree totally...wait, i totally disagree...wait, what does it say, my eyes are watering!!!

Both players have struggled against top defenses and you really can't go by what Weis says because he is going to hype up his QB over anyone else. I do think Quinn is the more NFL ready of the two but I think Russell has more of an upside.

I can't hardly believe what I just read.

Your whole argument is confusing.
You would rather go with quinn because russell struggled against tougher competition.

SEE brady quinns entire career and tell me if you have the same opinion.

We won't get either of these guys anyway, but man that was just hard to follow.

Small font. But I totally agree. Quinn is much more ready to start in the pros and has decent enough physical ability to do so. Shame that he won't fall to the #9 spot and one wonders if Cameron and Mueller are gutsy enough to trade up for him.
