Ryan Fitzpatrick advises Miami Dolphins' Tua Tagovailoa to block out criticism, predicts big Year 2

I like the part about continuity with Godsey and Studesville. Although most aren't that excited with these promotions, I'm giving it a chance to see how it unfolds. I think the stability will be huge for Tua and the young offense. Just throw in some new looks and concepts to spice it up and let the team take a jump.

Tua showed a lot of promise. The negativity around him is sheer stupidity. There are people who can watch tons and tons of football and simply not understand what they are watching or the game.
Fueled by idiot media who love the "Tua struggled so bad and got benched twice, whatever will Fins do" soundbite, and haven't the first clue what they're talking about.

To some extent I think it’s that and also people watch tons of Dolphins and stat or highlight watch other teams.

That's why I was against these benching's at the time and they still anger me, despite the Vegas win. Just gives the hacks something to feed upon and it was obvious when he did it.

Might have been the right football moves at the time, but I didn't like it for the same reason.

i dont like the benchings. i think the kid needed to learn from what was happening, but I also get it bc we were close to the play offs. i think he will have a better year. just get some guys around him and open it more. kid will be fine. ppl need to stop comparing him to the others. how did rg3 luck turn out? luck had a good year, but everyone was talking about rg3. there are many examples. but it is what it is and hopefully he proves ppl wrong.

Fitz was a huge part of the transformation of the team. He has been nothing less than a class act and fantastic teammate while in Miami. I hope he gets the opportunity to compete for a starting job in the NFL next season.
Agreed. He took the job when others wouldn't. He lead this team when it had absolutely zero talent and the roster had just been gutted. He wanted to play and lead this team. Miami offered him an opportunity he would not get elsewhere. Perfect situation for both the team and player at the time. He won football games here and helped mentor a rookie when he presumably on the way out. Guy is a leader through and through. Hope he gets another shot at it somewhere as well. Dude is genuinely hard not to like.

I totally agree with you. I really think if Tua stayed in those 2 games, there wouldnt be as much criticism. Getting benched twice totally made him look bad. I think if the other 2 rookies were benched, it wouldve been same for them. Unfortunately, Tua had the short end of the bargain.
