Ryan said he's talked to Dolphins GM Jeff Ireland and head coach Tony Sparano, and would love to play in Miami.
"It would be unbelievable," he said. "It may end up working out."

ps- Don't shoot the messenger.

opps wrong section sorry, mods please move to draft forum please and sorry

I would think the Fins would talk to all the top prospects in the draft, it means nothing.

what did the fins pay Ryan to say that?? It is not a smoke screen. The Dolphins are exploring their options.

Are you serious....!? So we'll have virtually 2 rookie quarterbacks, since Beck rarely saw the field last year!? Also what kind of message is that sending....yeah you were drafted last year and we don't think you'll work out, so we'll keep you as a benchwarmer though...WOW...just WOW...maybe we'll have a QB by committee again!

2 words....smoke and screen.....

I agree, your probably going to see the dolphins very publicly interested in Ryan. Possibly some comments from the F.O. about him, maybe even some preliminary contract talk b/w us and Ryan.

Im sure you could interview Chris Long and Jake Long and they would say the same thing that Matt Ryan said. The point of the combine is to gather as much information about each player. Wake up people their is a deffinate chance we will draft Matt Ryan. Just like there is a defenite chance we draft Chris Long and Jake Long.

Smoke Screen??? Hardly.

Especially how he was insinuating that he would love to play for us, and how it might actually happen.....sounds scripted to me

he will be heavily scouted by this team and anyone who doesn't think he's high on their board is wrong. they have to make a decision between him and chris long. the phins must proceed as if john beck isn't even on the roster

The Dolphins have the top pick...they'll talk to just about everyone...and rightfully so...it's the players that they don't talk to, I'm interested in.

What are u talking about?? Age isnt an issue. Look at the Browns they have two QB that are "basically" Rookies. Its about talent. And just to let you know we will probably carry 3 QBs on our roster. So IF management decides Matt Ryan is the real deal, we will bring in a Veteran QB. We are simply exploring our options.

Im just curious. Do you think the person who wrote that column made up the comments by Ryan??

PS. I am not for or against drafting anyone yet. The comments by Ryan are simply a sign that management is taking full advantage of the combine. Isnt that what we want. Our management conduct interviews and evaluate talent so we end up with the best possible football player??

So you're telling me that you could potentially lose a glaring need on the offensive or defensive line, and select a quarterback 1st? I just don't see that happening....I think Parcells will sign a veteran and keep Beck. Basically by drafting Ryan you're saying that Beck is of no use to the team. I also find it funny that the Falcons are in desperate need of a quarterback who seems to LOVE Ryan, and this statement comes out....coincidental timing maybe? I don't think so

Man when is reality gunna set in for some of you. Keep an open mind. Your setting yourself up to be very dissapointed. What if the fins acctually draft Matt Ryan?? All I am saying is that it could happen.

Matt Ryan is saying he would love to play for the Dolphins because he knows if he is he will be a very very rich man.

Definately not scripted.
