I'd like to see how the fan base feels about him at the end of year two, and how his career projects as a Miami Dolphin.

Stick with him. He has shown some good things in year two. Get him a line and decent OC and let him grow.

His OC needs to roll his ass out! He is good throwing on the run!

This has become priority #1 for me at this point. He needs an OC who can utilize what the rook was doing year 1 but with the pocket experience now. Not only get him big nasties up front, but we have to change the straight laced spread out with boring route running routine.

Well I like him. He's the best QB to walk into the joint since Marino. He is still learning his craft but this was a year of improvement. He finished the season looking bad in the final 2 games but he has talent. The deep ball to Mike Wallace is still a major problem and I don't know that he will ever be great at throwing it.
One of his best talents is being able to read defensive patterns and make adjustments on the fly. Henne struggled with that.
Other great quality is his temperament. He clearly loves to play the game and could become very good.
It might be good for him to learn from a different Offensive Coordinator. I sometimes think that Sherman's playcalling is too conservative and predictable.

Get him a good offensive coordinator.

Get him an o-line that is at least average or better. THISTHISTHIS ****ING THIS!!

Get him a good TE (because Keller is done.)

He needs to practice, practice , practice over the off season. Especially with Wallace.

Get him this, and he might even be really damn good.*

*Based on a continuation with his trajectory of improvements this season.

I've seen some progress and occasionally he makes me feel like we found a franchise QB. Although he's frustrating with the deep ball, I think at least part of that is on the oline. I know we got him a few weapons this year, but lets be realistic. Wallace is a #2, and Hartline is a #3. Clay, while impressive, is not a starting caliber TE. Also, we have no running game, which is also at least, partly on the oline. Tannehill has the talent, the tools, and the brains to succeed in this league.

We're stuck with him for at least one more year, but I'd like to see us draft Fales or Murray to develop.

He will be fine he needs a real power running game and some nasty o-linemen who can play in front of him. Most of all a real OC who can game plan make adjustments.

another QB for the Lolphins to develop. What a freaking joke. This franchise is worse than a bad soap opera.

He'll get you fired before you win a championship.

He showed us nothing when the season was on the line the last two weeks. If he plays anywhere near like a top 10-15 Qb none of these fire everyone threads get started. He just has to hit Wallace to go up 14-0 and we're talking Bengals.

I've seen enough. He'll get another year, but he's an 8-8 Qb at best. He may be worse than that though. I can see us going 5-11 next year with him and that schedule.

Agreed. Unfortunately, we wont score one in FA or trade, so yeah, that's our freaking life.

Well the disturbing part in my opinion is that we're back to talking about "the future" in determining whether he should be this team's long-term quarterback, rather than the present.

In terms of my comfort with viewing him as the long-term solution for this team, he just "rebooted" himself in the last two weeks, unfortunately. I'm back to having no idea what we're dealing with long-term, rather than thinking he's achieved at least a foundational level of play that would enable the team to build around him.

He's back to being a complete unknown in terms of his future in my opinion.

I like him as a QB. People are failing to realize he was supposed to be a project (yeah bringing that back up) I think he has done a good job. Yeah the last two weeks were bad but to me he will end up being a great QB down the road. He needs a better OC, O-Line and some type of running game. He has a full offseason to work with his WR corp and now has two years experience.

I said it when he was drafted and i'm still saying it, HE IS A CRAP QB.
