The
Miami Dolphins are all-in with second-year quarterback
Ryan Tannehill, but he is on a turnover streak that would make any quarterback cringe.
Tannehill is not playing bad football. But his untimely turnovers are killing the Dolphins, who have lost four straight games.
Tannehill added three more turnovers Sunday in a 27-17 loss to the
New England Patriots. He had two interceptions and a fumble following a sack that led to a touchdown and greatly changed the momentum of the game. Tannehill has 10 turnovers total during Miami’s four-game losing streak.
“Obviously we aren’t at an all-time high right now,” Tannehill said after the game. “But we’ve got to get back on track. That’s the only option we have.”
Tannehill is having trouble with both interceptions and fumbles. His two picks came on a pair of bad throws that killed drives. Tannehill’s third-quarter fumble also led to a short field and was part of New England’s run of 24 consecutive points in the second half.
