Ryan Torain works out for Fins, Interesting!

Better hope we dont sign him. That means the team has no faith in Ronnie Brown lol

Interesting indeed. We are loaded at RB...I don't see who he would be replacing, unless there is a trade in the works. None of our RBs are injured. They probably just want to keep him on the radar in case the injury bug hits.

As for trades:

Ronnie - hard to imagine they'd trade him unless it was for a 1st or a player the FO really coveted. He's the only one on our roster who can trigger the Wildcat effectively (as far as we know).

Ricky - signed extension, but doubt he'd play for anyone else and doubt Parcells would do that to his trust

Cobbs - Sparano seems to love him way too much to ever let him go. Not sure what the value of a jack of all trades is.

Hilliard - maybe? Has been a good STer and shown he can run in the preseason. Maybe they want to get the Thigpen pick back.

How fast/quick is he, maybe we looking for a home run threat now that we can actually run block.

Another thought - it's probably safer now to try to stash Hilliard on the PS...could try that if Torain is an upgrade.

His running style is kind of similar to Ronnie (sans dancing) - big guy who hits the hole hard and punishes defenders. However, he runs a 4.6 40...so not exactly a homerun threat.

Isnt Ricky retireing after this year???? That would mean we would need a replacement

I don't know anything about him but could he be used as a return man? Cobbs is only average and Ginn of course has the speed, but not the strength to free himself from first contact.

Ricky just signed a one year extension, then supposedly he will retire after next season.

I wouldn't mind. He's a solid HB when healthy. Can't have enough depth IMHO.

He has not been on an active roster for an entire year, nor has he played in more than 9 regular season games so...

Torain has practice squad eligibility.
