How bad was this team to the point half our starters are either getting cut from new teams or not getting added to anyone's squad and being replaced by UDFAs.

I'd grab him up quickly.
I agree. Hickey made a conscious and deliberate decision to move on without Clemmons. He was steady - a good team man but not great. I wouldn't have a problem if we signed him, but I doubt that he's coming back. If Hickey does bring him back, that tells us a lot about Hickey and Philbin and their openness to reconsider.
He would really make a lot of sense, allowing Jimmy to move back to the nickel . . . legit surprised that he was cut though.
I'd snag him up ASAP for at least a short-term deal.
