S Tyrone Culver signed to a 2yr extension

Safety seems like one spot where the cuts will be a little more clear-cut. This probably cements it for Culver, and I'm expecting Clemons to make it as well. That will leave Kilmer and Bryan as the odd men out.

very glad he did. In his limited role last year, (thus the limited exposure he got) i was very pleased by what i saw from our backup safety

Frankly, I;'m often upset with cuts in training camp because I pull for the underdog a lot but as far as safety goes, I think we are set!

We have Wilson and Bell starting, Culver and Clemens ready to play if anything should happen, and J. Allen can step in if need be.

This brings us to the question of whether Allen will make it because safety is crowded as is CB... he will have to come into himself this year to make it.

Off topic but, I'm really pleased with how competitive our roster is looking... I'm pretty sure we have competition at every position.

Nice! I love this dude. He hits hard as hell and it was only from one pick but he has nice hands and body control too.

Man.. gotta put the (no ****) tag on this. What I said can sadly be taken very wrong

LMAO @ no **** hahaha

Yea Culver is perfect for a backup safety he is more than able to step in and play

i like it...i thought culver was very solid last year.

nice depth

The only play I remember from him was a pretty big one...a morale-crushing interception of a Jay Cutler pass in the Denver game

Maybe he's being groomed to be the heir of Yeremiah Bell.

I love it. Culver played very solid last year when given the opportunity. Bell has been injury prone throughout his career, and it's good to have a solid backup locked up for 2 more years.

what an absolute steal he was off the packers Psquad, they were loaded with safeties..
great signing, it would have been very lame if someone signed him away to a slightly larger contract next offseason

great signing

Yeah we pretty much stole a quality player from them. They thought they could hide him on their practice squad with their roster stocked with quality players like Atari Bigby. ... Why does that name sound familiar? .....Doh !?#

Good depth signing and he's still young.

It looks like Jason Allen days are numbered as a Dolphin.

Great news and is a smart move by the FO because Culver is only 25, so he has more time to develop now.
