Got to love a coach that is that supportive of his team even when the are not great. He always says the teams has improved and needs to get better but likes the over all improvement an intensity they have shown. Saban said that he felt the run game was better because they gained 160 yards on the ground; although the pass protection sucked IMO. Way too many sacks given up on Sunday.

Saban may not have all the answers yet, but IMO he is a great coach for the Dolphins. He is a very supportive coach to his players and wants to win games for the fans. Go Dolphins.:dolphins:

On a totally different note :IMO the play calling is poor and do we not have any RED ZONE plays that are normal? Whats with all the weak trick plays? Mularkey is he for real?:dolphins:

yes, mularkey is for real. and yes, hes a bit unorthodox. As for saban, he better be supportive, its HIS team...

IMO Mularkey sucks, I just hate his playcalling... Awfull, makes me wish we had Chan Gailey back... He is that bad...Not worse than Foerster but still very bad...

I really don't see how bad how play calling has been. I think the problem has been with execution. In the Pitt game I was elated when we got to the goal line and ran four straight times even though Ronnie got stuffed. That's much better than throwing it three times at the goal line which Linehan did twice last year. In the second game, Mularkey called some great play action plays after we established the run, but C-pep got sacked on a couple of times on them. Additionally, those reverses could not have come at a better time, and running it with Booker was timeless. Mularkey may not have been a great HC, but I think he calls a good game. Without the proper blocking by line or execution by the skill positions, it really doesn't matter what plays you call.

Saban is a good coach, could be one of the greats. I hope he hasn't decided to live or die by Culpepper like some of you fans have though.

Don't forget the quick WR screens that averaged about 5 yards against Pitt. Murlarkey is not the problem my friends. Sure I'd like to see more deep attempts. But if you were an OC with Daunte Culpepper playing as he is, how much do you trust him? Even if Murlarkey calls deep plays we might never know because Daunte doesn't want to throw the ball. Excuse me if I was wrong but I thought we were getting a QB in Culpepper who could make the tight throws into good coverage and make things happen. I think Pepp is hurting physically which is affecting him mentally and until he regains that pitbull, that junkyard dog that oozed confidence and success, we are going to see more and more of the same from the play call- conservative, conservative, conservative.

ummm .... SABAN is the C-O-A-C-H ....

He HAS to point out the positives each and every week ... inside, it HAS to be eating him alive ... I HAVE to believe that he was hoping for something more out of Culpepper and the OL ....
