he clearly hasnt been prepared the last few games and with the weapons he has on offense there is no reason we should be losing to the Texans. Im not saying to fire him im just saying he better get his act together

What weapons.

They don't use CC or RB. The rest only have "potential". Every year people have been saying "this is McMikes year" .......

Mcmike looked slow and lethargic yesterday almost clumsy.

I support saban but i do have one question,, if within the defensive scheme the call is for a blitz coming from the middle linebacker position, why in the heck do we continue to send zach on his i'am a new born baby looking for my mama's chest blitzes, i thought that was suppose to be a part of coaching, recognizing what your players do well or not well and putting them in or out of that position to do so.

How can they not see that zach does not have the lateral athletisism to be an effective blitzer.

Take zach out on blitz plays and let yerimiah line up at the backer position and let him run or cover he can do both of those things better than zach, maybe they don't wanna lose his recognition skills on the field.

It is starting to look like Saban will be Steve Spurrier part II.

^^^Saban and Spurrier are nothing alike, Saban is smart and Spurrier is an idiot who only knows how to throw the ball downfield.

Texans defensive coordinator Richard Smith, who spent last year as defensive coordinator for Miami, emphasized an aggressive plan with more defensive pressure than the Texans have used this season.

"It definitely didn't hurt being so familiar with Miami's coaching and their players," Smith said. "We did blitz more than we have this year, but we had to, knowing Miami's personnel."

GREAT MOVE BY SABAN TO GET RID OF SMITH AND MUSHCHUMP FOR CAPERS. GREAT MOVE TO HIRE MULARKEY INSTEAD OF MARTZ. CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME ONE MOVE HE HAS DONE RIGHT THIS SEASON SO I CAN FIND A POSITIVE?

The problem right now is our coaching staff is sticking to their philisophies 100% even though we don't have the personnel to effectively run them. What made Don Shula such a great coach is the fact that he adjusted his coaching philisophy based on the players he had. Our current staff is REFUSING to do that and although it's frustrating now it may pay off when they have the right personnel. Right now we have the horses to be a really solid 4-3 defensive team. We have a pro bowl DE we have playing some OLB and a great run supporting tackling MLB, who we could put 700 lbs. in front of with Traylor and Bid Daddy on the field, but instead we blitz him constantly only to see him be eaten up by running backs. We don't have a good enough secondary to take guys out of coverage to blitz yet we try to send the house on every big 3rd down play. We do however have enough talent up front to generate pressure with the front 4 and an occasional blitz. Seriously guys I'm no coach and know our staff knows way more than I do about football but doesn't some of this stuff seem obvious????? Or is it just me????

If Saban is such a genius, then why does he have that clown Mularkey as an offensive coordinator?

i agree, the front four is great, what zach does best is run down running backs and drop back in coveragel, and against the texans he tried to blitz and got the **** knocked out of him by dayne or the backup running back

to me we are not using the players in what they do best, screw having jason taylor cover and be a covering linebacker

he is best when he can go after the quarterback and make a play, like the strip yesterday
