I wouldn't mind seeing us pick up a Vet like Taylor to see if he can still play. At this point a Vet. Min. contract would probably do the trick...

I'd be VERY happy with Bobby Taylor. I'm a little concerned with how many veterans we're signing though. I think we need younger recruits to this organization.

Well look at it this way...we pick up these older vets via Free Agency as stop gap measures until Saban gets the guys he wants/needs. And hopefully several of them move on to other teams and we get compensation picks for the draft the following year. We could pick up several of them at the rate we are signing vets to 1 or 2 year contracts.

It's not like having these veterans around will take playing time away from deserving young players. If we had those in the secondary, they'd be playing. One year contracts don't have long term cap implications, and while it doesn't guarantee any stability for coming years, sometimes you need to get guys in there for depth so the team isn't embarrased on Sundays.
