Saban just released a statement to ESPN on sportscenter that he is concerned with how the team performs this season. I thought this year didn't matter? Wow he's got himself in a bind with the media.

I think he means that he would like to win, but he's not basing decisions off

of it.

Yeah, I agree with what he said the other day, but I also think he shouldn't have said it because of it's controversial nature. The media just gets off on **** like that.

Well he had to release it so some scatterbrained fans could understand what he really said. Not mentioning any names.
 
I just caught the re-run of PTI early and they said that Saban should be getting fined for saying that. They also said that they think that he doesn't care about the fans or anything of that matter. He shouldn't of said what he said because everybody will put him on their giving up and stupid coaching list.
 
This is the biggest non-issue ever.

What's Saban supposed to say, that he believes we can win 6 straight an make the playoffs, then win the Super Bowl?

We are three and freaking seven. It's his first year. Speilstedt screwed us, and it's going to take him at least three seasons to win.

Frankly, I thought with the draft picks, with Ricky back, with a new QB, even Gus, and with Saban and a vastly imrpoved staff, I figured us for 7-9, 8-8.

That's still possible, but looking unlikely.

Given all of our upgrades, it is a little weird that we're not playing better.

Still, this is a mountain out of a mole hill, bigtime.

Saban haters should STFU and cut the guy some slack.

Yeah man.. the short bus was filled to the brim today..Did you see it? It rode up to Finheaven at about 4:30
 
The state of the team is ugly, and therefore so is the truth. Kudos to Saban for laying it out as it is. No BS like "we're close", or any other crap. He is being honest with the fans and saying this is a long term thing. What he is guilty of is overestimating the intelligence of the average fan and the media, which isn't very hard to do.
