Saban once again got us three first round talented guys just like last year.

Ronnie obviously was, Roth slipped a little to us in the second, and Crowder slipped because of injury and character concerns, but all were first round talents.

this year, Jason Allen was the obvious one, whereas Hagan had a bad senior bowl (going up against probably the best batch of college DB's that has been seen in a while), and Rodrique Wright who tumbled all the way to the 7th round because of injury concerns. i see those three guys making major impact for us.

I like Fred Evans better than Wright. Roth has yet to prove he was 1st-round material, or even 2nd-round yet.

No, but he was graded as a 1st rounder at the time of the pick...

He said 1st round talented, not 1st round projected.

Why do you argue with me Nasty. It's like Jamar Fletcher trying to cover Marvin Harrison.

No, it's like Jamar Fletcher trying to cover Chad Johnson. At the end, we all know what Chad would say.

Speaking of our former 1st rounder, I believe his agent was staying at the hotel I work at in Tallahassee two nights ago because a fax came in from the Detroit Lions, I'm assuming about contract parameters... just thought I'd put in my 2 cents

I think that Daunte guy he got with the 2nd rounder has 1st round talent too.

Exactly. He can't win an argument but he can save 10% by switching to Geico. Except unlike Johnson I would know it's 15%.

I like all our picks,Allen was an obvious need and so was Hagan(maybe Saban's second third round steal in consecutive years)and Toledo will give coach Houk a joygasm with his raw talent/size.I think wright is also a steal but will take time.No problem, looking forward to it.

I rewatched the Senior Bowl, Hagen had no problems getting open on those DB's, he just had a couple drops (Nerves or Different QB's throwing him the ball?), I'm not concerned.

From what I read it wasn't just the game but the first couple practices he kept dropping everything. I don't think it's anything significant though. You get used to a certain way a ball is thrown to you and it can be hard to adjust quickly to something else for some guys. Means absolutely nothing in itself.
