Saban, Gus & Discipline

I don't know if the wind sprints will stop the penalties, but I do believe something like that had to be done to straigthen them out. I was at the Buffalo game, and watched in horror as they took one step forward and two steps back. I've seen a lot worse then the taunting call, like when Madison threw Smith to the ground about 5 yards out of bounds (2 weeks ago). But either way Saban's gotta get the teams attention. At first I wanted to believe it was because they were young and new to one another, but come on... Personally, I think Gus should be running w/them. He forced so much and it cost us deerly. Cost me a $100 for one, but that's on me. Here is a game we should of one., All we have to do is concentrate & make 1/2 the turnovers & 1/2 the penalties (what the average team in the NFL does) and we WIN this game. I still love my fins, and have faith that we rebound, but Sabans got to get in this teams azz's, and get us a wild card!!!!!

I think it is meaningless but having said that I don't know what the answere is I was just a little dissapointed that was their soloution.

Saban left it up to the players to decide the punishment. He's said he doesn't want to discipline them for penalties, so he's allowing them to decide what to do about it since they are the ones committing them. What this actually does is force some players into leadership roles. It's something that is done to create team chemistry, however elementry it may seem. This will, no matter how small of an action, bring this team together. Paying the price together. I'm interested to see how much of a difference it will make. If we can cut down on our penalties, we will be a very, very tough team to beat.

Hey man I hope it works I will be the last guy to think I know better then Saban. I mean how great has it been to hear this guy at press conferences talk intelligently on this team.
