Might Saban return to Louisiana with Rosenfels as his quarterback against the Saints?

"I haven't thought about it yet," Saban said. "The guy has thrown one pass. "I'm not here to say we're disappointed with Gus. I'm not here to say we're satisfied with Gus. I don't think it's just that position. There are other issues that create a problem for that position in terms of how we execute together as a group."

Looks to me like he WILL be thinking about it. God I hope so. Gus stinks!

How many more games will Saban stick with Gus if he continues to play poorly and how long will it be before comparisons are made between Saban and Gus and Wannstedt and Fiedler?

I am sure that Saban will be thinking about alot of things this week, but it doesn't mean that he will change anything.

Ok, I am dying to know...how exactly do you come up with your view based on Saban's statement? I have heard of reading between the lines...but seriously you came up with that from what he said?

I haven't thought about it YET.

That's how.

To funny...ok. but from Yet to Will (in bold no less) is a major leap of reading into it. As well as your Thread title "Saban has not ruled out starting Sage this week"

No, those comments from Saban occured right after the Chiefs game... later in the week he said in a roundabout way that Frerotte is still the guy.

or this quote:

"I think that at this point, I'm not ready to say that changing quarterbacks is going to solve all our problems."

how is this an answer? all this says is that if sage starts, the secondary wont be improved, but he doesnt mention if the QB position will be improved

I kind of thought the same thing, however, the text he put in the post was an excerpt of the entire conversation...if you heard the PC, he basically said..don't ask me that question, you can't judge Sage on one pass....He's more than likely sticking with Gus, but I'm not too sure Sage would do much worse than Gus has...

If Sage was going to be the starter I don't think Saban would say because he doesn't want people to gameplan for Sage. Then again the usual gameplan for Gus is probably "let him attempt any throw he wants", so they might as well just gameplan for Sage.

...That doesn't make any sense does it?

Eh, I don't think Saban is going to start Sage this Sunday, I've been saying all week that I really do think that he will stick with Gus this Sunday. I think we will beat the Saints and Gus will not be pulled.
