That's what he said at the press conference when asked about their performance yesterday.

So you expect him to put down our players because of the way they played? Particularly Joey Harrington...

"Joey Harrington played one of the worst games I've ever seen......we lost because of him" I don't see Saban saying anything critical like that...

Saying they suck to everybody isn't going to do anything for their lack of talent so I really can't blame him. He better be trying to figure out how he can replace half the team next year and still make the playoffs. Realistically that's probably what he's going to have to do to not get run out of town.

Offseason cuts will say more than a press conference ever will. There are still two games left to play this season.

He isn't going to bash his team so the media could bash for doing that, I can guarantee that he will not give them any breaks this week after that horrible showing yesterday.

He's standing by his players. Why come out in the open and rip your players? No coach in their right mind would do so. Now if he wants to take Joey aside and say it to his face like a man then that is absolutely okay. But if he goes on air and rips his players, he will lose all faith in his players.

That happend to my varisty basketball team last year. Some of our seniors wern't playing up to par and our coach publicly called them out in front of the team and even in the papers. It basically ruined our whole season.

So no playoffs again next year and you don't think he'll be in trouble? don't give me the head shake, I obviously know more about the reality of the NFL than you do.

Saban's not going to throw anyone under the bus regardless of if we lost by 21 or 21000. I'm sure everyone who was in that lockeroon yesterday got the lashing of their life. We had a chance to salvage our season and we blew it.

That half would be just about the entire offense.....starting with Mularkey and Harrington.

I agree, the defense is serviceable, the secondary needs some upgrades.

He shouldn't get upset at anybody on the team for that horrid performance. Everything will be alright. He has this team moving in the right direction. Alright enough of trying to make myself believe all of this bs, We have problems houston, BIG PROBLEMS

Why would we cut half of the team when there are only 4 or 5 big problems? Not to mention the biggest problem is already resolved with a guy who is on IR. I would still like to see us either keep Harrington or go get a proven backup. Joey has proven two things to us this year. He can come off the bench and keep the seat warm as long as it's for only a game or two. And that he is not a starter in this league.

He could have said he was upset with the way they played, e.g. , or said that he was upset at several different players, and not single-out anyone. When he makes statements like that it makes him sound silly.

I do like him as a coach though. Especially the way he pisses-off the media, namely Edwin Pope, who just can't get over the fact that he's not allowed to interview the assistant coaches.
