Hey guys, Saban is a very very smart man. He is letting other teams out there that want Braylon Edwards feel like he has interest in him, and make them want to trade up to our # 2 spot, so we can get more picks/players. What do you guys feel about this, he's basically bluffing his hand to make others bid up. and I bet Tampa, and Minnesota are monitoring this really close.:cooldude:

[Sun-Sentinel] The Dolphins met with free-agent wide receiver Charles Lee earlier this week but a signing is unlikely before the draft April 23. A source said the Dolphins might be waiting before adding another receiver to their roster because the team is strongly considering selecting Michigan's Braylon Edwards with the No. 2 pick.

This was the article in the Sun-sentinel

He's not bluffing, he really does want Edwards.

shhhh....

I dont understand why people think this is that smart. People here are too used to have Wanny. Anyone in this position would do what Saban is doing. Letting your competitors know what you want is the worst thing you can do.
Obviously Saban will tell Cleveland he wants Smith, then the Vikes he wants Edwards, its common sense.

If Saban's main goal is to trade down, the best thing to do is say your interested in all of the top players from week to week. One week, "We're drafting Alex Smith", the next week, "We're sold on Braylon Edwards"...the next thing you know, we have multiple teams vying for our pick. He's creating value. It's a smart tactic and it will pay off.

Part of bluffing is having people believe you.

We need teams to believe that we are willing top stay in the #2 spot.

Nobody would buy it if we are saying we are going with a QB. Not with Feely and his 18 million dollar contract.

Saying we like Braylon at #2 will freak teams like Minnesota out.

what do you think about this? do you think the other teams would trade up for that spot, or what teams are interested in Braylon Edwards?
