Saban is high on Mare

Saban says Mare is improving: After enduring three straight sub-par seasons, Saban feels kicker Olindo Mare is on the rebound.

"Olindo has had a fantastic camp," Saban said. "He has made a much higher percentage of his kicks than what our standard would be."

After converting 84 percent of his field goals his first five seasons  Saban said 82 percent is "pretty decent"  Mare slipped to 76.3 percent during the past three seasons. Mare made a career-low 75 percent last season, when he missed five-plus games because of a calf injury.

Mare has definetly been slumping, he's one of my favorite players on the team for some reason and i really hope Saban is telling the truth about him improving. I'd like to have the pro-bowl caliber Kicker that i know Mare truely is. But he's gotta stay healthy also.....
