I am a strong Daunte Culpepper supporter. I have been defending him over the previous weeks and still support him to this day. I do not find his actions to be selfish, but more competitive.

That said, after seeing how Harrington did against New England, I am in agreeance with Nick Saban on his decision to keep Harrington as our starter. I am not a Harrington supporter, but I do think he has potential and can carry us while we mend our wounds. The best thing is for Daunte to approach this new rehab program with a positive attitude, which I think he will. He is a competitor and will do whatever is neccessary to be able to compete.

The move that Saban made was by no means an easy one to make. It is basically like waiving a flag that says, "HEY, I WAS WRONG!". He knows now that Culpepper isn't ready to play and he is making the right moves to get him ready. He obviously knew this was a possibility, otherise we would be playing Cleo Lemon. Saban covered his tracks months ago for this moment. If we had Wanny in this circumstance, we would still be starting Culpepper because Harrington would be playing for the Raiders, and we would probably have signed AJ Feeley again after San Diego cut him.

I am giving a lot of credit to Saban right now. Things are definately not going as he would like them to. But at least he had the foresight to think that maybe things wouldnt go right, and he prepared for the worst.

As for us fans. It's a tough road to be on right now. But I'm proud to be on it. I'm not really sure why it feels so good to be a Dolphan today, but it really does. I guess its a reinstilled sense of direction and leadership that we felt that we lost over the last month. But it was there all along and we need to remember that.

I can't imagine how Saban must feel when he sees dropped punts, tipped INTs, blocked kicks, offensive penalties, and missed field goals all in one game. There isn't a gameplan out there that can make up for those kinds of mistakes all in one game. And dont forget the fumbles, dropped passes, and "pass interference" calls. If we had Bill Parcells, we would have at least 5 empty spots on our roster this morning. But Parcells is a looney old fart who believes his own hype.

Next week is looking to be a good matchup for us. The pressure is off of us and right on top of the the Jets. It must be hard to trick the NFL into thinking you're good by calling onside kicks and going for it on forth down to make a close game out of the Colts and then put up a goose egg against the Jags.

Week 11 VS Minnesota
Week 12 @ Detroit

Which of these games will be a homecoming for our starting QB?

The only reason Dante isn;t playing is as according to Saban, he can't make the explosive moves to avoid sacks. His throws are there, most of the timing is there, he just can't scramble like we need him to. Joey is fine, but Dante has done more and won more and I'll take him any day.

Either way, I just want to win. But I think Dante's eagerness to play is being used against him maliciously.

all nick needed to do was rerun the play of culpepper leading chambers on the endaround against the texans and show him how bad he was favoring his leg. if nick did point this out to him and ended up in a seated argument, then CPEP

I agree

i have no clue what you are trying to say

Harrington will start the rest of the season and think they might even put Daunte on the IR.

Give props to Saban for getting Joey for insurance, paying off right now. Take some props back from Saban for not seeing this and putting Joey in sooner. Give some props BACK to Saban for trying to get Daunte up to speed and sticking with his main guy. Take some props back for him not giving Joey all the snaps with first string last week before starting him. He's even right now I believe. I'm dizzy.

IF Culpepper is getting sacked 5 times a game and Harrington(not a very mobile qb) is getting sacked once then that tells you that Culpepper is not where he needs to be. So Harrington should start but just until Culpepper gets better. But yaw know just as well as I do when Culp is healthy he is a MVP qb.

I also support Saban he will be a top 5 hc in this league. When our offense clicks we will be a winning team. Our mishaps on O has lead to scores by the opposing team. I know Saban motivates his team to the best of his ability. Yes my feelings are hurt for the way my fins are playing but I have confidence in Saban.

dont expect him to "attack" the new rehab assignment like he has been doing his old one...he was the starter and he lost because he wasnt playing well...knee or no knee...his ego is bruised as would any QB who worked so hard....now he is not the clear cutter....its a long road for Duante

You feel a sense of direction and leadership? Are you serious? There is no direction, there is no leadership, there is no rebuilding.

Whoever the new coach is has to revamp the whole defense. Whoever the new coach is has to undo the damage that NS did to the salary cap. Whoever the new coach is has to overcome the repeated loss of 2nd round draft picks for the loser QBs AJ Feeley and Culpepper.

Its been 21 games now. No progress. And after we lose to the Jets, it'll be 22 games and no progress and after we lose to the Bears coming off our bye week, we'll be 1-8 and STILL no progress.

What is it going to take for people to realise that Nick Saban isn't the answer.

I think it will be Joey, especially if we start winning. Remember the Pats 1st SB with Tom Brady? At that time, most people would say bledsoe was the better QB, but they were winning with Brady so when bledsoe returned off of injury...well we all know how that turned out.

You're being kind. Nothing has paid dividends for Saban. We are 1-4. Getting DC, getting JH, getting this guy and that guy...we are one of the worst teams in the league. No way do I give Saban ANY props for that. If we wanted to be 1-4, we could have kept Wannstedt.

He's more mobile than Brady and Pennington. He is a QB first. He wasn't brought here because of his ability to scramble.

whats with all the hate with c pep and saban i guess the steelers should get raid of big ben and cowher cause there 1-3 same boat as us come on guys get relistake saban is a good coah give him time d.c. as we all can see hes wasent 100% or close i look for him to be back in by week 12 or somewhere aroud there when c pep is 100% he a mvp qb give it time the oline sucks the qbs have no time to pass ronnie is having to make moves and run ppl over to get yards this just aint are year we just had alot of hype. if the oline gets it down and quits causin pentlys watch out as for the d the secdory has gotten better as the year gotten on goodman and w. allen are beasts.

i am a huge daunte supporter and still am, but right now joey is the qb and i have to put my full support behind him

i knew something was up during the buffalo game, when he scrambled out of the pocket in the last quarter and you could see him hobboling all the way to the sideline where he was tackeled

after that play he would not step up into his throws at all

so now nick is doing what should have been done from day one, let joey start and let daunte get healthy

daunte is not selfish for wanting to play, even nick said during the press conference that he would be more worried if he didnt ***** about playing
