Saban Names Players Of The Week

What does that mean about Scout Team contributing? Also isn't Derrick Pope on the active roster and Fred Gibson on the practice squad.

I think Pope was inactive against Denver. He's on the active roster but won't get much playing time unless someone gets injured. So basically he's a kind of like a practice squad player.

He did this with LSU also. When Saban says the "whole team" contributes to a win, he really means it.

Those guys gave the starters good looks, so they get game balls because they prepared them.

It's a pretty cool deal if you ask me.
 
Fred Gibson doesn't because he is not on the 53 man roster, I know there are some that don't like him on this board, but I like the guy, he can be a player.
 
Is there a cooler coach in the NFL than Nick Saban.. I can't say enough how much I like this guy.

oh yeah, that fumble was not good..the thing about it is, and the thign that impressed me the most was, that we just scored again to counter it...it was great to see us just "bounce" back like that...i love linehans aggressiveness....whoa, and what is up with M. yeah i rememeber all the trade marty booker threads, and marty booker should be 4th WR threads... im sure those will finally stop... hes a complete reciever and a great number 2...
 
Says a lot about Crowder that Pope, who was looked at as a great addition at LB, has been relegated to scout team.
