If I were Saban (which I'm not) I would release the following people.

Alonzo Ephreim (his penality was the stupidest of the game)
John Denney (calling Ed Perry I repeat calling Ed Perry)
David Bowens (2 stupid penalitys in limited time)
David Boston (he's gone soon anyway)
Jesse Chatman (Ricky's coming back)

John Denney, he's a rookie and eventually u'll need a rookie to take over for Perry. But do bring Perry back.
Why fire David Boston, what did he do? He didn't even play. You only let him go at the end of the year and that's a possibility.
Alonzo or Alfonzo(Not sure the first name) E.- no Firing offensive linemen yet. That's like throwing a spare lifejacket off your boat becuz it's green and you hate the color green.
Jesse Chatman- all i can say is who?
David Bowens-Why David Bowens has been a big part of this team for a long time. Jason Taylor had stupid penalties, do we fire him to?

The bottom line is you never fire someone for committing penalties. You bench them, limit their playing time. But you don't fire them. If you were saban half our team would be fired.

Sabans fault

Saban needs to send the first message to himself. He is supposed to be the leader who sets the discipline. He has not done this and the team gets worse each game. Unfortunately, the refs are going to do this job for Saban and they will continue to look hard at the phins until the undisciplined play is corrected. Too bad.

Donnie spragan had stupid penalties too...

but how can u say David boston if they dont let him the chance to prove himself.

Firing? Fining maybe but not firing. Boston didn't even play today.

Denney should be replaced by Perry because Perry was always reliable, Denney has screwed up 3 times this year (twice costing us points).

Who cares if we fire Ephriem, he can be replaced he's just a back up. They was no reason for him to throw a punch.

David Boston and Jesse Chatman are eventually going to be gone anyway

And I might have been alittle harsh on Bowens but Saban needs to set an example and Bowens can be replaced and as for firing Taylor because of his penalitys. Well Taylor does alot more then Bowens. For what Taylor brings to the table you can expect a penalty or two. Bowens doesn't do the things Taylor does.

why not the people that I've fired can all be replaced and it gets a message across.

It was an all-around team loss.....can't point the figure at anyone...the team just made too many mistakes, but hey we are 2-2....it is not the end of the world.

What message would be sent by releasing a 3rd stringer? Its pointless. Players need to be accountable for their own actions. Hit them where it hurts, their wallet, pre-snap penalties and personal fouls= $1000/yard.

Exactly. Can't expect to win many games with 18 penalties and 5 TOs.

Agree, and mistakes do happen. I admit that I was too hard on Bowens and maybe Denney however Ephriem should be fired. He can be replaced and that penalty was uncalled for.

I never said Denney shouldn't be replaced, I just said that he doesn't need to be fired. Perry will need a replacement eventually, bring back Perry but keep Denney. It's only week 5, a little premature for firing people.

Actually Saban just said on TV that he takes responsible for the mistakes and that he his responsible or fixing them. I'm sure he will make some changes this week.

Saban did say he was pleased with the teams effort in the 2nd half however the mistakes made in the first dug them too deep in a hole to get out.:)

It was predictable that Denney would cost us at some point.Whether he has cost us a game so far is debatable.Perry was money on the long snaps and Denney has already made three costly mistakes.

Perrys contract would only have cost the Fins 300,000 more against the cap;a drop in the bucket in the scheme of things.

IMO its one of the more questionable decisions in Saban short tenancy.
