We have a bye this week and it'll be the first for Saban at the professional level. Bye-weeks are very common in college.
The question is is there enough of a similarity between college and pro for Saban to prepare appropriately. My assumption is that it should be easier at the pro level because
1. the players are more mature
2. there aren't as many distractions as in college, i.e., incredibly hot women, bars, parties, etc.
3. the players have one job to do: play football. In college many of the atheletes have to worry about exams, papers, etc.
Only Saban knows how exactly he'll manage the team during the bye-week. But, lacking experience at the pro-level, I just hope that he does it right. In the past, we've looked sloppy following bye-weeks.
