Saban rivers share agent....

SD fans would have a riot in the streets if they let Brees go
 
they wont let brees go... and i dont think they'll let Rivers go either unless the right offer is made. Yea Rivers is taking up a huge amount of salary and wants a starting job somewhere but he's under contract... SD will never let Brees go after the past 2 seasons of performance.
 
I haven't seen enough of Phillip Rivers to support him coming to Miami anytime soon. All i know is that his mechanics are very odd and he seems not to have the long ball up to the level that a Linehan offense would need. However he wasn't picked 4th Overall because he is a bad QB. I'd consider taking a look at Phillip Rivers in the off-season.
 
This is REALLY old news. Like right after Saban took the job news.
 
I wouldn't take Rivers for a 1st round pick in any hurry. Certainly no more than that. The guy may not have proved himself at the professional level, as many of you mention, but neither has any rokkie entering the draft.
 
I don't think the Chargers are gonna release Brees. If so we honestly better do everything we can to get him. Drew Brees in a Dolphins jersey is beyond a dream. If it happened you better believe i'll be snatching up his jersey.

agreed..and indeed, I would be sleepless for a week
 
I you saw the way Brees played against the Colts you would never let him go anywhere he looked great.

I think he'd look very good in a Fins uni, but I don't think that Saban will pay the price SD is sure to ask for him. However, if the Bolts end the season poorly and don't get into the playoffs, Marty's job might be in jeopardy...That said, the FO seems to want Rivers to be the man and that would leave Brees as a FA...that might be a cheaper alternative to getting an established QB here in Miami...If Marty stays, he wants Brees to continue to be the man which leaves Rivers as acquirable (is that a word ???)....I'd still prefer Rivers here after following his career at Carolina. He carried a poor team, particularly his last two years....We can only hope...

As far as his arm, he had a hitch in his delivery (very similar to Bernie Kosar), which didn't affect him in college. I would think that SD has worked on that issue in the two years he's been there. He has an arm, but isn't as accurate as Linehan likes on the deep ball...(at any rate, he'd be an improvement over AJ, Gus and Sage...)
