"Several NBC analysts criticized Dolphins coach Nick Saban for saying Sunday that he doesn't ``know how to coach mess-ups.''
''It looks like he is pointing fingers,'' Cris Collinsworth said on NBC's studio show Sunday evening. ``As a player, you're trained don't point a finger at the coaches. And so you don't want to see the coaches pointing the finger at the players, either.''
Saban attempted to clarify his comments Monday, attempting to defuse the notion that he's placing the blame for a 1-6 start entirely on his players."

Who cares that show sucks and no one on the show has no idea of what is going on.

Oh please Cris Collinsworth looked at quote without seeing it in context.

The players know damn well they are messing up. Randy McMichael knows damn well he's messing up.

Saban said multiple times in the press conference that he refuses to point the finger at anyone but himself. He said it is HIS FAULT. Many times.

The part they are talking about seems less obvious than Saban saying his only primetime players are either hurt or in Canada. I am just interested to see how this pans out, there is obviously trouble in the locker room. Chris Chambers got on Saban about that comment and Channing Crowder was on 790 today talking about the defensive schemes and got nailed with a question about the secondary looking confused out there and asking if the coaches would simplify things for them during the bye.

He said no matter what they ask the coaches aren't going to simplify things for them so they just have to deal with it and play better.

It seems the coaches and players are alienated from each other which is not a good thing...I am curious to see how this pans out as I am sure the media is as well.

Maybe it is being blown out of proportion, maybe not i'm sure we will find out before the season is over though.

Eh. Last year everyone criticized Saban for saying the score didn't matter, and in turn, the team railed off six straight.

Perhaps this little piece can somehow rally the troops to somewhat the same degree...

I still don't understand the logic in keeping an offensive coordinator who can't make anything positive happen on offense. It's kind of ironic that so many OC are getting the boot, but in our case I think it's the logical and right choice.

The show is HORRIBLE..my father and i wrote some horrible email to NBC for their alledged highlight show. Have you seen them screw up? Its hilarious, I remember one time there was like a pause for 3 seconds when they all started a word and then stopped. I laughed for half an hour. Dont get me started on their placards they use to read stuff off...they wave it around so much i think its thundering. The whole show is just plain crap....NFL Primetime was the greatest and will always be the greatest highlight show ever.

As for the supposed "pointing the finger"....i dont see it. The media bends and twists things. AND EVEN IF HE DID point fingers, as a fan, i wouldnt mind..i want to know who is gonna be ejected from the franchise. People who are gonna f'up deserved to be subjected to scrutiny.

I know exactly what your talking about with the long pause, its as if everyone in the studio was waiting for someone to say something and no one did, and that awkward pause froze them even more.
