Do you guys think MAby Perhaps Saban moves up to draft THe overrated Leinart? or MAby get Vince " I Will PLay For The CFL" Young? OR will he get JAcobs or Whitehurst in the later rounds cuz to be honest with you fin FAns Gus is only getting older and Sage to me is like a back up!! I do not see any potential Free agents Qb!!1

Thoughts?

A QB needs to be drafted in this draft.. This should go without saying, unless we can get a nice, young QB through FA.. Like Carr/Schaub/Rivers.

agreed.

My top 6 options for next year:
1. Brees (if he comes available)
2. Rivers
3. Schaub
4. Carr
5. Brodie Croyle
6. Drew Olsen

schaub actually looked great vs NE last week. Volek is the 1 im not so sure about. Hes got nice stats but he accumulated stats playing form behind all the time which most qb's can do.

Randy Mueller:

Mueller thinks the Dolphins should select a quarterback in every draft.

What Mueller does know is quarterbacks, as evidenced by New Orleans having Aaron Brooks, Jake Delhomme, Marc Bulger and Jeff Blake in the same training camp in 2000.

"I would like to get to that here at some point," Mueller said. "They're always valuable. You can't have enough of them."

Next year our QB Depth should look like this possibly...

1. Gus
2. Cleo (If he proves to be better than Sage.)
3. Rookie

As for the draft I am hoping for Croyle or Whitehurst. Brady Quinn is the one I wish we could get to make our QB of the future but dunno if he is going to come out this year or not.

Croyle was an elite QB prospect who's had some real bad knee injuries. But other than that he's got toughness, leadership and skill. There's really nothing not to like except the fact he had some knee injuries that were purely from bad luck. He's got a cannon arm, good accuracy, decent mobility (enough to where you could roll the pocket but you'll never mistake him for an elway or mcnabb). He's a prototype pocket passer.

Olsen has improved every year. Hes got good, not great arm strength and is also a pocket passer. He hasnt gotten recognition until the this year though cause his team stunk.

Heres my prediction for 2006...

If we draft a QB...

1. Frerotte
2. Lemon
3. Rookie

If we sign a QB

1. New QB
2. Frerotte
3. Lemon
