I can't believe the amount of people on this messageboard that will take a false comment and add to it a small amount of their own guilty suspicions to justify their actions. Here is an exact quote of what Coach Saban:

''I think it's the ultimate disrespect to players if they are booed, I told our players that at halftime. At the same time, I think we all have a responsibility and obligation, myself included, for whatever happens on that field, that we play so that doesn't happen.''

Read it again if you have to. Tatoo it on your bird cage chest. Never did Saban say that he would dictate how a Fan should react to his team. He said that the teams actions would dictate how a Fan should react. If you feel guilty because you rain "boos and hisses" upon the Dolphins then keep it to yourself, don't twist Coach Saban's words to justify yourself because it is easy to see through the facade. I really don't think that Saban cares if you boo or cheer, he cares if the team performs in a way that gets cheers or boos as a result.

There was an article recently detailing Saban's coaching style at LSU. A newspaper ran a photo of Saban red-faced and yelling at a DB who was playing out of position. What the photo didn't show was that LSU was winning the game by 20+ points late in the 4th quarter. He is much more demanding of his players than the fans buzzing in the stands drunk, incompetent, delirious or raging mad.

Thank you. I tried to point it out in the other thread but it was obviously ignored.

Agree, I come from miles away to root the Phins on. I would never boo them and I leave the game barely being able to talk. I lose my voice from rooting them on. Come on South Florida fans, stand up and make some noise!

I think the fans are the players' bosses and they should be able to do whatever they want. Think of them as like shareholders of a company. They can vote out management, make the stock price suffer, etc. if they don't like what they are doing down there...and if they ever agree with each other enough to do it.

Anyone who has a significant problem with fans booing needs to face the reality that public sports have been around for a LOOOONG time and the nature of the sport has been the same since the very beginning. Players do something you like, cheer, players do something you don't like, boo. Get over it and grow some testicles. If you say that the fans should never boo the team I say the fans should never cheer them either then. Fans who attend games and pay money for their tickets pay the salaries of everyone involved in the organization. If a player on the field is not playing like he is paid millions of dollars to play like, BOOOOOOO.

Look out, Saban will turn you into a quiet little bunny with his magic wand if you dont stop booing.

You have time though, he is still looking for that "How to coach in the NFL" magic spell.

What good comes from booing Mr. CEO? You can't boo the person you want to start into the game. You same boo birds did that and cheered when Lucas was given a shot. Booed for nothing didn't you! Good Grief!

 People are still misinterpreting what he said even when it's spelled out to them in black and white. Unbelievable.

I dont think fans are bosses. You have a right to cheer or boo if you like...
Im a fan.. I love my team.. its not like work... its like a relationship... ups and downs... misery and euphorias...
Defeats are devastating.. and victories are incredible.
Fans only sway opinions so much.. otherwise Wanny would've been fired last offseason.

Im sure many peoplehave reasons for being a fan.. some its because its your hometown or your closest teams.. for some like me who live 1000's of miles away Its hard to define....But it isnt like work... no matter what happens in my life.... theres always my passion for the Phins!

I think it should be illegal for a Bills fan to talk trash about the Dolphins until the Bills are within 10 games of their overall series against the Dolphins.

On the contrary, the fans who pay money to watch the games are the bosses and have every right boo or cheer. Of course, some fans are more obnoxious than others and abuse their position. Think of it like a restaurant. Ever hear the term "the customer is always right"? That is because the restaurant's well being is tied directly to the happiness of their customers. So too are NFL teams. If you're in a restaurant and you get bad service guess what you have a right to complain even if you're a fan of the restaurant and really like the restaurant and want the restaurant to do well.

I heard that he and Losman met up at the Magic Kingdom... JP was looking for the "How to hold a clipboard" magic spell.

I'm in the minority here, but I think booing is generally classless. I understand booing lack of effort, but that's it. Not saying people don't have the right, they do. But I have the right to have an opinion about their behavior.
