I can't believe the amount of people on this messageboard that will take a false comment and add to it a small amount of their own guilty suspicions to justify their actions. Here is an exact quote of what Coach Saban:
''I think it's the ultimate disrespect to players if they are booed, I told our players that at halftime. At the same time, I think we all have a responsibility and obligation, myself included, for whatever happens on that field, that we play so that doesn't happen.''
Read it again if you have to. Tatoo it on your bird cage chest. Never did Saban say that he would dictate how a Fan should react to his team. He said that the teams actions would dictate how a Fan should react. If you feel guilty because you rain "boos and hisses" upon the Dolphins then keep it to yourself, don't twist Coach Saban's words to justify yourself because it is easy to see through the facade. I really don't think that Saban cares if you boo or cheer, he cares if the team performs in a way that gets cheers or boos as a result.
There was an article recently detailing Saban's coaching style at LSU. A newspaper ran a photo of Saban red-faced and yelling at a DB who was playing out of position. What the photo didn't show was that LSU was winning the game by 20+ points late in the 4th quarter. He is much more demanding of his players than the fans buzzing in the stands drunk, incompetent, delirious or raging mad.
