I´m more and more convinced that david carr is becoming of serious consideration by mr.saban and co. ....first of all , carr is a sure thing , rivers as talented as he may be has yet to prove he is an nfl QB , and the risk of getting him for several picks is to big , carr is available via trade next year according to some reports , he is the best option in a short period of time that can do a difference for us , plus I bet he wants to come here , also the texans have too many holes ,more than us ( and ronnie is showing that ricky may be traded ) the negotiations may benefit both parts , schaub could be a candidate but i don´t think will be let go , so we get carr and still draft a young kid in the second or third round .

Carr is going to be a FA after this year. I don't see how Carr is a sure thing though.

cause he plays in the worst team in the nfl ...and still does´nt look worse than gus !!!!! ;) ;)

Carr is available via trade next year
This doesn't really make sense...if the former statement is true why would he be available

And how is Ronnie showing that Ricky can be traded when Ricky isn't doing anything. Sure it means we don't need Ricky, but Ricky isn't doing anything to warrant a team trading up for him.

Don't the texans have a fairly decent running back?

Incorrect.

The Texans have a buyback option in his contract that they will 99.9% surely use. He isn't going anywhere.

The thing I don't get is most teams were not willing to give a 2nd rounder for Shaun Alexander and yet you think teams might be willing to trade for Ricky? I still don't see us getting more then a late 2nd day pick for him.

As of right now, he's going to be a FA. How is that incorrect?

Hey byroan can I join the cut reggie howard club, perhaps sue him for getting some money back since he hasnt played for us this year. Heck ricky did less damage to us last year.

Because he isn't a FA at all. A FA means his contract ends at the end of this year. His doesn't no matter how much you want to twist the smallest of technicalities. That clause is purely there for the Texans benefit in case he flopped large. Mark my words he'll be a Texan next year without doubt.

Especially when they fire Capers the new coach is going to want to keep stability at QB. All that boy needs is a more solid OL.

i know he plays for a bad team but how is he a sure thing.

I don't care if he was signed under a 7 year contract. If they don't exercise the clause then he will be a FA. So until they do, he will be a FA.

let me get Joey Harrington for real cheap and draft a decent QB in the 2nd or 3rd round and draft a great Tackle in the 1st
