Nick is handling this team like a 4 or 5 yea coach on the verge of going to the playofss or the superbowl. It is like he is afraid to play a young guy becuase he may lose some of the veterans support or lose the locker room. IMO, you can't lose something that hasn't been built yet. I don't understand this love affair with all these veterans. Is he afraid someone he drafted will play poorly and make him look bad? I just don't get it.

I completely agree. He needs to start playing the younger players.

Seriously the season is lost and at least if we play some of the younger guys we an figure out who needs to be here and who dosen't.

Ummm, I think it is called playing your best players in order to win every week .... he is NOT going to play rookies to 'see what they have' or to 'get them experience' ....

I think we'd all like to see Vickerson, Evans and Allen play ... others would even like to see Vick play - but not me -- this year .... for me, Vickerson -- for no other reason than his contract is up this year -- and a decision has to be made WRT his future.

Next year we could lose: Barnes, Welker, Bowens, Zgonina, Traylor, Holliday, Vickerson, Spragan & Bell ... there are a host of others but they are back up and role players at best ...

out of all those guys...id keep Welker, Vickerson, and Bell. the other guys can go...i mean talking about SAFETIES, Yeremiah Bell always plays well at Safety...why doesnt he go in more often??

I think Saban is playing who he feels is ready to play. He is not afraid to play younger players - see Daniels, Crowder, Hagan, Roth, ect. A lot of our younger players have been injured or are not up to speed yet either. We still have 10 games left guys...

c'mon too early to just pack it in man. yes things look bad but you cant just give up on your team all together.

What is more scary is having a coach that is just going to put in young players just to put them in. I mean come on, if these guys want to play they need to earn their chance to play. If these old vets are so bad and worthless then why dont the younger players beat them out for the spot? You dont just put guys in because they are young and want experience, you put them in when they have earned their spot and playing time.
