Nick is a great coach, he does everything he can in order to get the win. The only negative, which hurts us the most, is that he is afraid of change. He is afraid to second-guess himself and the decision he and the staff makes. Maybe he's arrogant, but I literally think hes afraid of the results. Its obvious that Joey should have started after the Buffalo game, he just did not want to change anything and was willing to stay the course in order to muster a win vs Houston. The same can be said about the J. Allen situation..which better change this week. Saban will stick with the players he thinks are best, whether they suck or not, until its an absolute necessity to do otherwise. This is Saban's only vice. Hopefully he can get his issues out this year, because if were this bad next year..hes gone

Orwell's rolling in his grave

look at him and manny wright. any other team would have dropped his butt from the orginization by now. but somehow, he's still under contract. he's afraid to admit his mistakes....but so what?? same as anyone else!!!

wtf are you saying phinphan?
That's exactly what I was aking you.
You said: "Saban will stick with the players he thinks are best, whether they suck or not, until its an absolute necessity to do otherwise."
On what other criteria should he base his decision to start a player? On who you think is the best?
You said : " This is Saban's only vice."
Vice? I don't follow.

You said: " Hopefully he can get his issues out this year, because if were this bad next year..hes gone"
What do you mean by get his issues out?

Im saying--his criteria has us at 1-4 because hes afraid to change his criteria. i dont necessarily care about the 1-4 record because i know it would be different had he made better decisions. and by issues I mean, if he keeps up with his 'any player will do' as long as they learn the 'complicated system' concept..he will be canned. he trusts too much in what he believes, and trusts too little in the players that would help us win. its not complicated. coaches and the NFL are not that intelligent, contrary to what theyd like you to believe. sometimes they make great decisions, other times..very very poor ones. and im sorry, making the wrong choice does not fly with me when you get paid millions to play/coach a game. near perfection is a must.

I'm a Nick Saban fan and will give him till year 3 before I start jumping of his bandwagon, but he screwed up this Culpepper thing. He should have Started Joey from the beginning and had Dante in this explosive movement rehab program he will now be in. We are at least 2-3 if not 3-2 with Harrington as starter.

I think one of the reasons the players like Saban is because he is loyal, a straight shooter and let's them know where they stand without bs-ing them..which is why we get just about any free agent we want around here lately. Unlike with Wanny when free agents would come in and leave and sign somewhere else. Maybe he is too loyal for too long, but you have to take the good with the bad, his loyalty does have some benefits for us...

We had many FAs come in this offseason who for some reason left town even when we offered a contract. Maybe because the other teams were offering more for their services but many FAs came and left this past offseason. We should have come away with Mawae or atleast Hartwig so Rex could have stayed at RG.

FS Marlon McCree is another I wish we would have signed. Then we could've taken Manny Lawson or Marcus McNeil. Any rookie who is actually making an impact this season.
