That tells me he is going to look for a defensive player in the first round. There have already been alot of upgrades on offense in free agency. The only way he will go offense is if the best defenisve, first-round caliber players are gone by #16. Then, he might get a WR if he was the top one or two WR in the draft. But I doubt all the better defensive players will be gone by #16.

I'm 90% sure Saban will either draft a LB or DB at #16.
 
Let the smoke screens begin. I know he said he wasn't going to decieve anyone, but just by some inferences, they arrived at the fact that we are going to take a defensive player in the 1st round. He has an out becuase he states that basically it may depend on who falls down to us at our pick. Did it seem strangely odd that there was very little talk of trading down in the draft ? Was that on purpose or did it really not come up ?
