I was thinking about our qb problems today and at first i thought we should have picked up a qb in the draft to groom for the future, but after thinking about it saban is smart he realized that there were no big time qb's in this past draft, smith and rodgers are not going to be be as good as the guys comming out this year saban knew that. we will draft a big time stud qb next year, frerotte will be our vet to teach the young guy next year! we will be average this year but much better next, be patient a stud qb is on the way! so quit worrying about frerotte and feeley.

he had charlie frye in the second instead of roth. He's going to turn out to be real good

There is nobody coming out that seems to be the lock you are referring to. Even if there was, it would have to be a top 5 pick which we couldn't afford to draft after giving Ronnie the big bucks. But even if we got around both of those hurldes, and that is a BIG if, we would still be looking at waiting another year maybe two to get him to a point where he could be a solid contributor. So with your plan, if it works perfectly with no snags like a season ending injury, we are looking at fielding a competitive team with a solid QB around 08. That does not look like a plan I could buy into.

I rarely agree with a lot of your post, but I have to agree with this one. I just KNEW he was gonna be a Fin. I about cried when we did end up with him. Looking back with the way Roth is getting off to the slow start, I would have been a lot happier with Charlie.

Yeah when Frye lasted into the second I was loving life, then he fell to the 3rd but Cleveland snagged him. We're gonna regret not taking him. Hopefully we get someone next year

I don't like this idea. Right now we have a pretty talented Football team that needs a QB! I hope we make a move for a Rivers who will have 2 full NFL seasons under his belt ( I know not playing but at least learning) or a Volek. IM still praying that the Saints cut Mcpherson, I think he can be a player in a year or 2.

There are a few QB out there right now that have some potential as a starter. Ragone, Volek, I think this is the way to go. Don't get me wrong, if we wind up 6-10 and can make a move for a Matt L, than thats great, but we also need to bring in a solid Vet who could play right away.

Meanwhile, our current stars age. I don't know if tehre's any way for Zach and MAdison, (maybe JT too)to win the big'un with Miami unless they can hold on for a longer than average career.

we could have got orton and berlin looks like he would have been good in a few years.
