I have been a Dolphin fan since 1966. I worked in the locker room from 1968-1977. I have watched players jump to other leagues (ZONK, KIICK and WARFIELD). I have never seen the Dolphins in such a sad state. We have traded away so many draft picks on QBs. What do we have to show for it? The biggest mistake I think we have made, is not going with the rookie that we drafted. Maybe Beck will turn out to be that person. We can only hope so!!!! The handling of the Green trade and Culpepper situation is the worst of Dolphin history. All we can hope is things get better from here.

Then you're hoping we have another coach, next year. This latest faux pas was his idea.

"I hope Being negitive Makes every one feel better"
Which is why I'm not planning to make Sunday Afternoons my "pick me up" for the week. Dang I hope I'm wrong, but I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Im still voting on the Saban situation being the worst of Dolphin history.

Saban was a JOKE!!

No way. The Wannstedt era was longer and more painful to watch. Saban was like ripping a bandaid off.
What are you talking about? I was by no means a big Dave fan but at least he had winning season and one playoff victory!! SATAN was a freakin joke! Wanny mistake was he stayed way too long with Fiedler instead of drafting Brees. All in all they were both horrible but Satan takes the cake!

all i can say is everyone on this board is entitled to an opinion, now matter how uneducated it is.

Really? Worst in Dolphin history?

Worse than a 2nd for AJ Feeley? Worse than the whole Ricky Williams fiasco? Worse than forcing Shula out? Marino? Worse than spending our 2nd round pick on Eddie Moore, which was our first overall pick because of the aforementioned Ricky Williams? Worse than signing thugs like Cecil Collins or Lawrence Phillips?

We spent a 4th round pick for a QB that might play for a couple of years, and will be dumping a QB that we did overpay for but who had contributed absolutely nothing.

May not be the best sequence of events in Dolphins history, but its far from the worst.

I'd say that heading into the 2004 season was much worse than this. Much worse. I'm actually excited about what lies ahead.

We won a bunch under Wanny. But the teams regressed. And there was little to no ability to close games or seasons. We always faded. The team took on the personality of its head coach.

Wow! I couldn't disagree more. I haven't felt this good about the Dolphins since the early seventies and the Marino pro-bowl years.

I totally love the move to jettison DC and acquire Green. Beck was a way pick than Quinn. I can't stand Quinn and beleive he will be huge bust.

I love that Randy made KC come down from their ridiculous request for a second.

Tough situation with Daunte. He njust needs to get his butt to a different team as soon as possible and get to work. Then he can show everyone how great he is when healthy. But if he wants to block trades and hang around and be a dork, I could care less. Let it get ugly, it won't stop this team and this leadership from coming together as ONE unit and winning.

More than anything I love how business savy and future conciouss Cam and Randy have been getting rid of these ridiculous contracts like Carter's,McMichael's,James's,Mckinnie's,Daunte's and not bringing back McIntosh.

These guys are extremely smart and know how to win. You can't win when your team is crippled by high paid players who don't produce. There is nothing wrong with paying a player a ton of money as long as he does what JT and Zach do; PRODUCE.

LONG LIVE THE REIGN OF CAM OF AND RANDY

40+ years of being a dolfan?

Cool.

I think we have been through tougher times than this, dumping Jake Scott was a good thing? Woodstrock? Shula being run out on a rail? Our QB merry go round for the last 6 years?

For myself, this is the first year that we head into the season with a completely fresh start in a very long time, we have our Best QB in years, and we have a young and upcoming prospect at QB in John Beck.

DC's departure may not have been awash with touchy feely warm wishes, but that is what Wanny would have done, Saban may have done that, they both might have kept DC around to try and compete, at the end of day however, where would that have gotten us?

Not far IMO, even if DC played to his career numbers, we would have the same controversy over "DC v Beck " next year.

It may not be nice to hear, but in the long run, sometimes it is better to be cruel than to be kind and if the Fins are to be cruel, better to be cruel all at once, and then not return to it. The alternative is to let the situation linger, and that benefits no one not DC, not the Fins, not Beck, not Cam no one benefits by letting this linger on and on.

It would be easy to predict that "if" DC threw two TD's in a preseason game the conversation would be:

"When do we trade Beck?"

No thanks.

agree

oh booo hoo. I like to complain every once in a while but this crap was expected for what? three months now? get real.

Daunte never had a chance and was a Saban guy who took a major risk on. As for the draft picks, the only draft picks we lost IMO is two #2's on Feeley and Culpepper, but every team wastes picks. Even the New England Patriots. How many first round TE's have they had that are now gone or not that good?

My god they just gave us a 2nd and a 7th for Wes Welker. wow! Samson Satele and Abraham Wright for Wes Welker. Not bad at all.
