Just curious to hear your perception of Travares Tillman. I thought he missed a lot of assignments again yesterday. He seems to be leaving our corners alone on an island with one on one coverage alot and it shows. I am wondering what Nick is going to do with this problem. I think Tillman just doesn't have the skills to adjust in time to positively affect a play. I am curious to see if Bell will get more playing time or maybe at some point Nick will insert J. Allen.
Thoughts?

Without seeing actual gamefilm or knowing schemes and assignments myself, I have no clue if he missed anything. I wish I was able to break that down because I'm always curious to see how well individuals are performing and who is not.

I generally speculate on what I see (like Will Allen's pass inf. from week 2) until someone actually breaks it down.

seems like Tillman is our biggest weakness on D, by far. He did play much better last year, i must say.

I wounder why the hell Jason Allen isn't out there yet if our Safeties are playing so poorly? Maybe they should throw him out there to get him some in game experience.

I am not seeing a whole lot on the "Tillman factor." I do believe he gave up big plays against Pitt and Buff being a half second too late. But how people see problems of the DB's on yesterdays game is a little perplexing. The Db's did a pretty good job yesterday. Daniels is not 100% though but its good to see him out there and make a play. He looked out of whack more than anyone yesterday, understandably.

Its not a bad idea. But im willing to bet saban doesn't want to just 'hand him' the job. And i bet thats whats going on here. Saban doesn't want to just give the job to Allen, he'll have to earn it. Not to mention, saban likes tillman personally, and will give him a chance to straighten out before just benching him.

Did u watch the game yesterday? He was blowing coverage all day and if not for K. Collins inaccuracy we would have probably lost. The titans left big passing plays all over the field yesterday.

Somebody (or all) in the secondary wasn't doing their job, that's for done sure. What is it gonna take for Yeremiah Bell to be given a chance to be more than just a blitzing nickelback? I realize he's useful in that role, but with the hole we have in the secondary and his incredible speed, it would be nice to see him get a chance. He wasn't that bad starting in the preseason last year.

we have safetys? where they at? i dont see em in run support, and i never see them helping too much in coverage. what exactly do they do? they dont cover TE's, cuz our LB's our always doing that. so whats thier responsibility? im so clueless as to where are safetys are at on the field. i know before the season they were talking about using allen at the star position. well maybe we need to move bell in the starting lineup and put allen at the star spot.

If Jason allen was all that some on this board make him to be he would not be sitting behind this group of safeties or corners.
