Ive been saying it all year, give the guy a couple shots to go in there and show us what he's got. Unfortunately i live in orlando at the present time and did not get the feed of the game today. But waking up and seeing 21-0 on my computer screen and then coming bak later on in the day and seeing an amazing turn-around because of one position substitution really told me something. The guy's has the potential to be a stud,

Not sure. If Sage can find a rythem early, he is good to go. Against the Browns, he could never find it. If Sage were to start next week at San Diego, I could see him throwing for over 300 yards or even just 30. He is too inconsistent to be a fulltime starter.

A stud? I don't know about that. He should get a chance to prove today wasn't a fluke because very rarely do QBs come back the following after a concussion. If he plays lights out next week, then I say let him finish out the season. But we can't pin the badge on him just yet.

I agree, no way he would be a starter for us next year. He really did play well today, and probably even better than his stats show. He was very accurate. I doubt he could play like that Vs. SD though.

Agree and am glad he got his chance.

what the hell is this? Potential to be a stud?

Why is it that he has a good game against a defense basically playing prevent, and all of a sudden he's a stud, or the potential to be one?

So quickly everybody forgets the Cleveland game....did he have the potential to be a stud?

There is no controversy. Gus has won games that Sage would've had no chance to win.

This is exactly the type of thread that was seen about AJ last year, and where is he now?

Why dont you wait to see how he plays over a few games, against good D's, and then make your statement

From what I've seen, I'd like to let Sage start the rest of the season and sees what comes of it. Unlike Frerotte, Sage is young enough to potentially get better.

Agreed!

He's no AJ

How can u compare him to AJ? He can actually throw the ball. Im not saying hes the savior of the team, im saying lets see what he's got smart- @ss. Let me guess ur one of the great dolphin-fans that voted on this site poll that u rather be winless than go to the playoffs. Thats rediculous that 500 people call themselves dolphin fans and they would prefer the fins to lose out than win out and go to the playoffs. I am at a loss for words. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. One of u was probably the douchebag that yelled at frerotte's kid.

I think the players responded big time to sage though. Chambers seems to like him better because he throws the ball high. Chambers prefers those high passes he can go up for, he seems to drop gus' low throws.

I say give him a chance next week, you can always put in Gus if he crumbles.

Watch the last 12 minutes again.

So quickly everybody forgets the Cleveland game....did he have the potential to be a stud?

Um... How'd Gus do in that game? 4-18? So you think it means Sage is terrible, but doesn't look badly on Gus at all? Come on.

There is no controversy. Gus has won games that Sage would've had no chance to win.

Hm. Of the FOUR games Gus managed to win in 10 tries... which exactly do you think Sage couldn't have won?

I'll tell you one for sure that gus couldn't of... today. No way in heck Gus scores threee tds in 12 minutes. Not happening.

This is exactly the type of thread that was seen about AJ last year, and where is he now?

And the people defending Gus are using the same thinking that kept Fielder as out QB for years.

At a certain point it is better to play the youngsters than the guy you KNOW can't get it done.

Why dont you wait to see how he plays over a few games, against good D's, and then make your statement

I would love to.

Certainly we've seen Gus. For, what, 9 years?

I wasn't able to catch the game first hand, but from everything I've read and listened to on the radio... and I hate to take anything away from Sage who played lights out compared to the Cleveland game. But I don't think the turnaround was due to "one position substitution". I think it was a combination of things like the o-line started getting their **** together, receivers stopped dropping balls (but did step out of bounds before a TD catch), the Jills play calling, Miami never giving up, the south Florida heat... just to name a few. Miami STOLE the game plain and simple... as a TEAM.

Absolutely Jarhead.

But they would not have done it with Gus.

This season he has TWICE had a chance to tie or win the game first and goal inside the ten.

He had four plays to go ten yards once and four plays to go five yards once.

Did neither.

Sage scored THREE times in 12 minutes. Just not happening with Gus.
