Now that everyone is off the Sage is the future Marino Charge....

To me its really evident that the guy won't even be on our roster next year. He has to know our playbook as good as anyone , and other than that one lucky pass to booker a few weeks ago.. He has shown absolutley nothing that he can be a productive QB in the NFL.

(i know im gonna hear blah blah he needs more than one start to get his feet wet) but he just doesnt have the tools to cut it even as our backup.. Lemon after knowing the playbook will be a huge backup improvement and Frerotte will likely stay on our team because he is a capable backup in case our future QB goes down.. as well he can teach him some experience.

Sage, we give you an A+ for Effort........ But it's been nice knowing ya while we knew ya! Take Care!

I agree that Sage cant cut it but idk if Lemo can either, I've never seen him play a real game.

even if lemon had two broken arms.. im sure the guy could produce more than 15 yards of total offense in over 3 quarters just by running for first downs..

hahhahah sage was one wannys boys... saban is going to make some serious changes this off season at the qb postion and the defense.......

id rather have Booker, welker, and gilmore as my 1.2.3 WR's get rid the stiffs.....

gilmore and welker gave some effort...... **** it booker shouldnt even be in the list... i want the entier WR core out..... start from scratch.....

trade chris chambers and 4th rounder and get rivers........ sign reggie wayne and make him ya #1 or Javon Walker.....

Ferrotte might be back next year, but i dont think he'll be a starter more like a back up to whom eva and if he aint jon kitna would be a sweeeeeet back up

Sage can take care

I agree with Simmer,
Sage had his chance, and now that we know he sucks, that was it. The guy would hold onto the ball for way too long. He isn't fit to be a starting QB. I'm glad we gave him a shot, but there has to be a reason why he wasn't starting before, and now we know why. TAKE CARE SAGE!

I don't see anything on Gus....Hmmm....the great Gus had a full quarter to play and he didn't fare any better....and he's the starting QB. The Browns must be laughing off the jock-straps.

gus put up 5 times more yards , in 3 times less playing time.... WITH a busted finger..

Gus is a massively below average QB..... but Sage just makes me sick to my stomach...

Javon Walker is interesting. He has proven he can be a legit #1 receiver. Booker can be his new Donald Driver. Im not sold on Reggie Wayne, simply because of the system and of Peerless Price.

okay - I'd have to agree, Lemon should be #2 soon.

I was sort of curious what Sage would do (given the flashes in preseason)
but was 85% sure he would fail. Just not THAT miserably.

McDuffie & company that thought Sage would be an improvement over Gus. Take your licks, and explain to me why we shouldn't drop Sage at year end.

i think Gus is underappreciated, he may not be great but he's the best QB we've had since Marino simply because he doesn't give the game away. He, for the most part, makes sound decisions and he has a CANNON for an arm.

Once again: He's not great but he's average and average is an improvement over what we've had.

Sage or Cleo are the best options we have. Gus shouldnt even come out of the lockerroom from here on out. The best record we can possibly hope to achieve is 9-7, the worst is 3-13. Neither extreme will probably be achieved but we would be far better off for next year the closer we get to 3-13 than 9-7. Keep starting Sage and see if he can improve. Remember this was the first game of the year fror him. What's the worst that can happen - we lose? LOL that just gets us closer to a tiop 5 draft pick. What's the best that can happen, he calms down and starts showing improvement. either way its win win for the dolphins. If you dont want sage then put in cleo using the same logic. the only QB we must avoid at all costs is Gus. There is zero upside in his feeble body so unless neither Cleo or Sage are in the plans for 2006 then you must start one of those two. Otherwise its just more wasted opportunities for gus to prove why he'd be better off washing dishes in some diner in omaha

ill tell you WHATS THE WORST THAT CAN HAPPEN:

With sage starting, our defense has to play 3 times as many reps.. leaving a very old defense tired and suceptable to injurys.... which could hurt us more down the road than we expect!
