Well I will start off by saying I am indifferent on this situation. On one hand I don't think playing well in the preseason against reserves warrants a starters job but on the other hand if Feeley and Frerotte keep playing like this why not give someone else a shot.

Anyways since everyone on this board seems to love the new Rosenfels idea here are some articles on the guy.

QBs of 2001 draft class with their combines. Rosenfels scored quite well. Impressive 40 time, good Wonderlic. Wonderlic (28) 40 (4.74). Feeleys stats are also on there including a very low wonderlic (suprise, suprise).

Basically just a CNNSI grading. Feeley was also rated the lowest of the draft class for QBS.

Personal webpage I think, could be a fan page but how many fans make a Sage Rosenfels website.

Not much on the guy.

Not meant to be an AJvsGusvsSage post. Just some info.

Sage by far has the best physical tools and he just has never gotten the chance he deserved. He was supposed to be the starter in Washington based on the pre-season and TC he had in 02 but Spurrier followed his loyalties and 1st round investment.

I didnt know that. But now that you mention it I seem to recall something about it.

Start Rosenfelds NOW! You should post this during the day to show ALL the Dol-Fans who is more a future-QB type player. I'm not saying he's the answer, i'm saying he's got more potential than Gus and AJ.

Just keep it bumped I guess.

But kinda OT. Has anyone noticed how hard it is to get a message read sometimes during the day. The users just rifle through posts.

I don't necessarily know if Sage is a future type of QB. One thing interesting though is that Dolphins Brass has kept him around year after year. They must see something in this guy. Especially to resign him at the end of last year.

Ya he's spent quite a bit of time as a third-stringer to say the least.

With our QB situation... i see no harm in giving Rosenfels a shot! we have nothing else to lose!

Well, Rosenfels has a higher IQ than Feeley. Well, now that I look at it, so do most of the other QB's too.

I have no problem moving Sage up the depth chart.... But maybe not to start as yet...
We have to get rid of Feeley.

I cant believe Sage was rated higher than Tim Hasselbeck!!

Maybe it is Sages time!

The way coaches avoided him I was beginning to think that Sage had leprosy or some infectious disease for a time.

But it appears that his only apparent flaw is his lack of ambition. He doesnt seem to mind being 3rd string QB.I thought he would want to get out of Miami due to lack of opportunities (Politics or whatever) but he seemed perfectly content to accept a one year low paying contract to be 3rd string QB again in Miami.

His affability is probably scaring the coaches off.You want someone with confidence and fire at the QB position especially when the game is on the line.

Now I don't care where Sage ends up personally. Start him if that's what looks best but I will warn you on using scouting reports to strengthen your arguement.
Ryan Leaf, Akili Smith, Joey Harrington, Andre ware, Steve walsh.. the list goes on and on of qb's that, coming ut of college graded higher than someone else.

Joe Montana, Tom Brady Jim McManhen(sp) hell even Marino was the 6th qb taken in 84. We, scouts and coaches really never know what we get until they get on he team and play.

Yesterday on the Sirius NFL afternoon show John Riggins said Rosenfels showed a ton of heart and very well could get the start, to which Adam Schein replied "very possible, and very sad". Even as a die hard finfan I had to laugh at that. It's true. Hopefully R. Brown can come into his own this year and we can see some of the rookies on defense develp nicely so next year we can tweak the OL further and add a real NFL QB to make a playoff push. I don't want to close the book on this season, but if we come out of all the camps and exhibitions with SR as starting QB, only because in game 5 he did better than the other two losers versus a 3rd string defense... that indeed is sad.

You sure you're not thinking of Matt Hasselbeck? Tim Hasselbeck isn't really all anything special.
