sage rosenfels

Last season, Rosenfels was 16 for 39 for 264 yards, 1 TD, and 3 INT, hardly impressive. And those numbers are sort of misleading. Yes, he had the 70 yard TD to Chambers. But, it was a blown coverage, and there wasn't a Baltimore defender within 10 yards of Chambers. Any pro QB should have had a TD on that play.

if you take out his first pass... he was awful.

his first pass went 76 yards for a touchdown, after that:

15 of 37 for 186 yards and 3 INTs

If he wins the job than i'll guess Aj would be number 3. I don't know what to get from him, but if he does win the job i'll have the same confidence in him I would have Feeley/Gus, because he won the job. I think most Dolfans would agree that Aj winning the job would be the best for the franchise long-term, because it'll end the arguement whether the team needs to draft a Qb, and if Sage wins the job people will probably make the arguement that Aj was not a good practice player, but whatever. I want the best player for the job, and who that is I don't know, i'm gonna guess it'll turn out to be Gus for the short-term, and the long-term solution is playing college ball this season.
There's these things called preseason games, that are supposedly not just practices because they keep score and play for 4 full quarters. If AJ doesn't impress in those things, I suppose you could say that the excuse of being a poor practice player would mean squat.

Berlins will beat out him out for 3rd qb

Sage is light years ahead of Brock. Sage did decent a job considering he never got a fair shot under Wannsuck and he was playing againts a desperate Ravens defense. I think that Saban will finally give Sage a real shot at the starting spot. I wouldn't be surprised if at the end of training camp we go with the "Sage Rosenfelds ultimate Quaterback Experience". Go Sage!

For the first time in a while, I have confidence that our coaching staff will objectively evaluate all the qbs, with no favoritism or politics, and the best player will start. It's best for the team if either AJ or Sage is that player, as they are young enough to be the future. If Gus starts, it means we're still looking for our future qb.
