Does anyone think Sage may be able to get us a 4th pick or so? I mean look what happened to Feeley... a few big games, and Speilman traded a 2nd. Look at Schaub, a few good games, and everyone thinks he is the next big QB. Look at Volek just another one. Sage has been somewhat impressive lately, think we could snag something for him?

He's an unrestricted free agent after the season. We get nothing for him.

I think he was saying if we resigned him then traded him, but idk.

If we re-sign him, we're keeping him. Why give a guy a multi-million dollar signing bonus and then have all of that accelerated onto your salary cap before you even take a snap? It's better to just buy the draft pick for cash.

do you really think we could find a better backup at 4th, 5th or 6th rounds? atleast the players have some confidence in sage. why is it always trade ricky and trade sage.. guys that actually have been HELPING us win :\we want to trade away? nutty if you ask me

Well if we had a 4th, 5th, or 6th we wouldn't draft a back-up QB. We'd look for a Daniels-type steal. And yes I had ment resign him, and we wouldn't resign him to a multi-million dollar bonus. If that is the case do not even resign him, he isn't worth that.

I would always rather trade a guy than just let him walk but with Sage being an UFA he will just hold out for the best deal and sign with that team. If we wanted to keep him we would need to be the high bider and if anyone realy wanted him they would just outbid us, not wait for us to sign him and then end up paying for the deal plus giving up a pick.

ya know, honestly...i like what sage has been doing for us this year. If he shows he can do it on a more consistent basis, i say we make Gus #2 and start Sage next year while we let the high-pick QB i hope we get (come on Cutler, lol) learn behind him.

Trading Sage is not an option.

If we resign him, it will be to keep him. There aren't any NBA sign-and-trade deals in the NFL.

I would be fine withkeeping Sage in the same role he has been in for the last few years. But he may get some bigger $$ elsewhere, and if he does, good for him.
