Saints trying to move up..

Per PFT, rumour is that the Saints are considering a deal to trade with the Rams for the #2 spot. Got me thinking, why wouldnt we find out what the proposed deal is, and take the same offer to give them #1 instead, to guarantee they get who they want for the same price? I know we wont get the value normally associated with #1 pick, but I would definitely consider it for #10 overall, the saints 2nd rounder, and next years #1... We could then take one of the other 1st round LT's (possibly safer LT pick than Long) at 10, or even package it with one of our other picks to move back up a couple spots for Albert, Clady, or whoever we thought was the best option. We spend less money on our #1, and still have at least 2 if not 3 2nds this year, and another 1st next year.

again, I have NO idea what NO was offering STL, that wasnt part of the story, but if that was the pkg, I think Id take it in a heartbeat

Great idea, but the Saints dont want to pay #1 money to the player they would select up there (most likely Glenn Dorsey) who is on ATL's radar, so they would have to jump them to #2 to guarntee they get him because he's not on our radar.

IF the Saints really want to trade up, its gotta be for Dorsey.

They NEED defensive help bad, so that rules out Jake, McFadden and Ryan. And they have two great DE's, so that rules out Chris Long. That leaves them with Dorsey, a guy we ain't taking at #1.

Dorsey is a BEAST! He single handedly dominated the national title game and hasnt missed a game yet in college due to injury. Not too mention he went to LSU, which is in New Orleans and the Saints saw him first hand.

Blue...I really don't think they have to...do you wonder why with only 9 days left to the draft....the Dolphins have only talked to just one player? Heck...it takes a week just to get past Parcells lunch....something very good is going to happen on draft day...imho.
