"Here is a complete list of the team’s with the most salary-cap room: Jacksonville with $9.6 million, Kansas City with $8.5 million, Houston with $8 million, Buffalo with $7.2 million, San Francisco with $7.18 million and New England with $6.7 million. The teams with the least amount money, or under $1 million each, are Arizona, Atlanta, Miami, the Giants, Oakland, Pittsburgh and Washington, which has only $115,074."

Actually the more interesting piece in there is about Broderick Bunkley. Man I thought that guy was going to be a beast in this league but he's looking like he'll wash out in another year.

Every DT the Eagles have drafted has failed to live up to their expectations this begs the question.

Is it?
The player,
The system,
The coaching,
or the scouting?

Seems to me the Eagles draft attacking, penatrating DT's(like a Bunkley) when they could really use a run-of-the-mill-lane clogger.

Oh yeah the Eagles could use a MLB that can actually make the routine tackle.

I think it is a bit early to pass judgment on Bunk. He is a beast, but sometimes it takes these guys a year or so to adjust. Look at Matt Roth who is just now starting to be a decent backup.

This thread was supposed to be about cap, and the point missed about our cap situ is that we have bought some of next years cap this year. That means if we continue to do this our cap will continue to get better instead of worse. In two years we should be in one of the best situations in the league. Add to that JT and Zack will be leaving in a few years and those numbers along with Danute's number erased and we will be living large in terms of cap. We will still need to find a QB however.

only reason jax has 9.6 is they had to put peterson on IR

Jacksonville doesn't pay thier players on IR? That would suck.

That really just reflects the salary cap mess that Saban inherited from WannSpiel.

He's been very proactive in working the cap. This was the 1st year in a while that Taylor or Thomas hasn't restructured to push the cap hits into future years.

I've seen projections where we'll be more than $20 M under the cap next year. In my opinion, Saban has done an outstanding job of managing / improving our cap situation.
