In his new podcast, Armando Salguero states that Daunte is not only on schedule with his knee, but ahead of schedule and is at least going to try and play in the opener against the Steelers. He also states that it is almost impossible that Daunte would play a full 16 game season even if he starts the year.

He also believes that the Lions will trade Harrington by draft day one way or another.

I figured they would trade Harrington by draft day considering they want DRAFT PICKS

But good work Nubs your always on top of everything

I wonder what flew out of the sky and knocked Salguero across the noggin.

Remember after Daunte's presser he said, "Daunte doubtful he'll start season?"

Ahhhh...South Florida media members....I swear.

These next two weeks leading in the draft will be very interesting to say the least. We will here some type of news from Arrington, Ricky and now Harrington.

why is it impossible for him to play a full sixteen games if he does start the opener?

I guess since this will be the season that he rebuilds his knee. I guess their is a strong chance he may have to rest it certain weeks to prevent it from re-tearing.

Exactly!! Why start the opener?

Also, does the Harrington news mean good news for us considering that we want to give them a 6th for next year?

Im one of the believers that he'll be ready for the season start against pitt. I think he has a drive to make a new start in a new city. Im not sure why he wouldn't start all 16 games though.

How contradictory of Salguero

He must be reading the boards

Yea, it'll be especially evident tomorrow when you open the paper and you see an article titled

"SECfootball Is a Big Stinky Pile of Crap Who Doesn't Know What He is Talking About" by Armando Salguero
