Listened to the Dolphins On The Run podcast this morning, and Salguero was the guest. He spent some time talking about JT's injury, and he made it sound worse than I thought it was. Apparently, JT's back has similar symptoms to Tim Bowen's back situation...an injury that led to his inability to hit the field consistantly and an early retirement. I haven't forgotten how Salguero has been toward the Fins in the past, and I always take his opinions as being overly critical/negative. Even taking that into consideration, it was pretty clear that JT's injury was worse than initially thought by most of us. JT is tough, and I know he will do everything he can to play, but if this sticks with him, he could very well be a gametime/halftime decision for a good portion, if not all, of the season :boohoo:

same exact as tim...except for the fact that tim was 80 lbs heavier than jason...

Did Salguero give any medical facts (i.e. he has a sliped disk) or was he simply talking out of his bum (i.e. - his back is bad guys, be worried)?

This ruins my day. JT is (along with Zach) the heart and sould of our defense, we desperately need him on the field.

There was a report a few days ago that JT's injury is tightness in his back.

He had an MRI and it showed no damage. Like you said, I take everything Salguero says with about a million grains of salt. Sometimes I want to punch that little weasel in the face.

this is not what i wanted to hear...this would really suck guys n gals. J.T. is a VITAL part to our TEAM.

Geez...all offseason I kept saying...wow things are shaping up and looking great for the Fins...and now this!!! I always said to myself...something would screw things up...and this sounds like the beginning of it.

Go Fins!!!

I'll be worried if he is on the injury report for the opening game in Pittsburgh this season, but did Salguero have any information on why he thinks his injury is like Bowens or is he just saying this because he has nothing better to talk about.

He's prob. basing this on a quote by D. Bowens the other day when he referred to Timbo. No "beat" reporter is at less practices and is less careful than Armando. Darlington, Marvez Fiaklov, Bedard, and previously Cole baked in the heat and did a legit job. He mails it in. Doesn't mean that he did in this case, but I would guess he using a nothing, throwaway comment from earlier in the week as his basis.

Kind of like my day. I've been in such a great mood this morning, and then something screwed up happened 30 minutes ago. Always something ....

Yep. Salquero is a typical hater with "little man syndrome", the need to put down others in order to make himself feel more important. This guy is definitely the bottom fish on our local media food chain - take his negative opinions with a grain of salt. Give JT some time before reading too much into what Salquero says. :what:

This is bad, but I think we're fine if we can't play, don't forget we have D. Bowens and Matt Roth to step in
