ArmandoSalguero Andre Gurode, by the way, was not a very good guard for the Cowboys. Took off when Bill Parcells moved him to center.

I seriously hope we sign Gurode and move pouncey to RG or LG, then we can kick Carey back out to RT or maybe give Murtha a look at RT or possibly scan the waiver wire, this could seriously tighten up the O-Line, i think pouncey is better suited at guard anyway, this would be my ideal OL:

LT Long, LG Pouncey, C Gurode, RG Icognito, RT Carey/Murtha

But you also need to pull to be a left guard, or at least have the mobility to get to the second level, and no one on the roster (certainly not Carey or Incognito) can do that right now.

if carey ain't a starter, he doesn't make the team period. its either guard or RT for carey or he's gone.

Good point Bill. Its hard to find a backup that's not too expensive in our group of incompetent misfits. Carey may start because of salary at RT, with Garner and Murtha off the bench.

People saying move Pouncey to RG do not understand how the offensive line works.

Pouncey is a born LG. He would probably do as well as his brother did @ C his rookie season if we played him @ LG. If this were a perfect world, judging by what I know (which isn't much, to be honest, because who know who is healthy, in shape, etc) it would be Long - Pouncey - Gurode - Incognito - Murtha

Garner would be our #1 backup. He'd fill in for anyone who needs a breather. Carey would likely be cut. Jerry would likely be kept as inside depth for the interior.
