His contract is up. He feels ESPN isn't offering enough money. CBS, FOX, NFL Network has told him they don't want him or like his act pretty much.

ESPN NFL analyst Sean Salisbury's contract is up in August and he wants to be paid what he considers his market value.

It comes down this," Salisbury said. "Would I like to be at ESPN? Yes. Would I like to be paid my market value? Yes, because I know what that is and I know what I provide."

Salisbury's options are limited. The NFL Network, with its plethora of shows, could be an option, but executives apparently aren't fans of Salisbury's loud rants.

"We are not interested in Sean Salisbury," an NFL Network spokesman said.

Spokespeople for CBS and Fox parroted the same line.

Fox Sports Net did consider Salisbury for its new show called Pro Football Preview, but Fox Sports Net instead added ex-Giant Jason Sehorn and the recently retired Tim Brown. "We would like [Sean] to stay," an ESPN spokesman said. ESPN nor Salisbury would reveal his current salary.

and neither am I. Maybe he can go do ringside for "raslin", someplace equal to his talent

This is the best new ive heard all day!

Salisbury reminds me of the Weather Guy in Anchorman.

I got a feeling with no other offers, Salsbury will buckle and take the low-ball ESPN offer since it seems he has no other options.

has anyone tols SS that market value isnt what you think.......its what employers think.....:goof: your moment of zen

What great news! I live in San Diego and Salisbury used to do local radio out here a few years ago. Everyone out here thought he was a stumbling, studdering wreck!! So when he went to ESPN we were all astounded that ESPN was so desperate the they would pay Salisbury any money at all. He has no talent and without this job he has no job so I think he is nuts. The guy should shut up and thank god he has a broadcasting job at all.

"Sean Salisbury? Are you kidding me? He couldn't throw the ball in the ocean if he was standing on the beach!" - Dan Marino

Such a great quote

I hope he goes bankrupt then accepts a deal for a new reality TV show on ESPN where he is John Clayton's slave. Clayton would get to do stuff like kick Sean Salisbury square in the sack for all those times that bummbling idiot attacked him for no good reason on national television.

I disagree with all of you.

I think SS's talent lies in being exactly what you all say he is - a knucklehead that says stuff that nobody agrees with.

Obviously he has a nitch. You all know who he is. You all hate him. You all still watch to see what he's going to say next.

He definitely doesn't deserve more money, but he does have a place.

That only works if people hate him enough to watch just to hate on him. I can't speak for others, but when he is the analyst I'm less likely to watch the show.

This guy was not the BEST QB in the NFL, and the same holds true today at his 2nd job. He needs to wake up and realize he was not a starter as a NFL QB or a TV personality.

Damn Salisbury must really be trying to compensate for not being able to play well in the NFL because he says he wants to be paid what he thinks. He is probably saying that now because he never got to say that in the NFL
