As we all know its always quick to blame the offense or playing it safe blah blah....

As usual, just like vs. Green Bay and probably 10+ other games in very recent memory, the defense has had a chance to make ONE PLAY to end a game, and 9 out of every 10 times they completely CHOKE!

Can they ever make an interception? NOPE, Recover a fumble? NOPE, not allow 4th down conversions multiple times? NOPE, end the game with a sack? NOPE

How many times can they let up 10.1 yards on 3rd and 10 with the game on the line, allow 4th down conversions over and over again?

We know the Offense isnt elite, however all the pundints and everyone else has always raved about this defense and the offense holds them back etc. but whenever the game is on the line, the Defense completely S**** the bed time and time again

We scored 16 points and our only TD was off a special teams play. As usual this game was on the offense, defense was just last on the field.

Yup they were last on the field and they choked! Just like the lat 90's to early 2000's defense. Put up all kinds of stats but disappeared at crunch time. This defense is a mirage and in no way deserving of the high praise it gets.

You're not going to score a million points every game. The Packers only put up 7 points on the Lions. This is the 2nd time this year, the defense has been on the field with a lead and they can't get off the field. Lions converted one third down the entire game, yet when the game is on the line they let Tate get 10 on a 3rd and 10.

The D line was a disappointment today. Didn't get much pressure on Stafford, especially during the last drive. But our offense really struggles in the red zone and that cost us valuable points today. Need to convert more TDs instead of field goals if we want to win the close games.

2nd time the offense is on the field with the lead and cannot close out the game. No killer instinct on offense. Just deers in headlights...

Maybe not but 16 points where your only TD was a drive that started on the 2? If the offense could finish one drive on its own we probably win. Defense kept us in it and gave us s chance while the offense went backwards. Defense may not be elite but like since 2009 offense is still average at best.

Blame the coaching for calling 2 running plays. It's not as if Tannehill wasn't connecting on passes today.

I understand your frustration. I think they did choke to an extent. However Clay should've caught that TD. Not only that but Thomas should never play for us again. I don't know why we signed him back, we could've gone with anyone else and Williams over Thomas.

Scoring 16 on the lions is impressive as hell, would've had 20 if Clay caught that on in the endzone.

I can't blame this loss on anyone one thing in particular. Lions are a damn good team that plays great defense and offense. People are so quick to "blame" someone. Why not praise the Lions for beating us?

We didn't lose to the Raiders or someone, we lost to a team that will probably win 13 game.

The Defense is very good but not elite and the offense is average and they look awful when they go up against an above average defense like they did today. They played a better team with a better defense and QB today and they lost. You're not going to compete against teams like Denver and New England just yet. Without Albert an already average offense is going to struggle even more against teams like Buffallo, Baltimore, Denver, New England and even the Jets.

You realize that the offense has faced this same situation with the lead, the ball and 4 minutes left 14 straight times and failed. The offense had left it to the defense every time. Not one 4 minute drive in several years. And you blame the defense?
