Let me start this off by saying that I am proud of the Miami Dolphins, they hung in tough for really the entirety of the game with a pretty good Patriots squad. With that said, there is ONE thing that is bugging the hell outta me. Why is it that every single time this season when our offense has put together an incredible, time-consuming, draining possession to take the lead in a game, our defense turns right around and craps the bed in less than 5 minutes? WTF is going on? Is it lack of talent, bad coaching, or a mixture of those two? It always seems to happen when we take the lead in the 2nd half. If our defense could at least get a damn 3 & Out on the following drive after we take the lead, we probably have a winning record...

Not much talent in the secondary and what little talent their is is inexperienced. Davis and Smith are rookies and the two safeties ( Bell and Wilson) are obviously crap at this point in their careers. Pair that with going against one of the best quarterback/ receiver tandems to ever play and it's trouble...

Well it certainly is not because they are tired.

Inexperience in the secondary is the biggest cause. Most of the day the secondary kept Moss in check he just made some great catches. He's a prospective Hall of Famer getting the ball from a Hall of Famer.

I guess the 'experts' were right and the schedule was going to bite us hard this year. We have played two 8-0 teams and had them in the bag. Played 1 bad game this year against ATL. SD game was just a screw up, we should of won that game minus Browns 1 yd line fumble and Penny going down. We are so close to being elite once we close games versus the big time teams. Thats what seperates good teams from great ones. And you have to a steal a game every now and then.

I did not think the teams on the first half of our schedule were going to be that good at the mid point. The Saints 8-0? Lol ok. We still have so many things wrong still with this team and look how close we have come to having a positive record after all of that. Also our Wildcat hasn't been executed like it was last year. Say they figured it out or what ever but we simply arent making the catches, throws, or many runs that we got last year. Because we did not execute right. Last year we executed almost every trick play and wildcat play to perfection.

Once the handcuffs come off Henne and he gets some more weapons and this defense can generate a pass rush we can become elite. Tom Brady had all day today for the most part. We need to implement the screen into our offense. I think we missed Fergie today also. The pocket was not collapsed at all and even though Maroney had only 82 yds it seemed like he was getting 5-6 yards a pop, getting their PA and passing game going. With Ferg that would not of happened.

We are competative and that is it. We are in every game, but we simply have too many glaring holes right now. (Lack of pass rush, ILB, and receivers...especially receivers.)

Overall, we are right on schedule for the rebuild. I think we got ahead of ourselves last year, but it was fun anyway.

The thing is, we actually still have a chance at playoffs. We are done with the real hard part of the schedule. We could get on a nice run and be above 500 before you know it.

I understand mentioning the secondary is young with Smith and Davis back there but are the opponents running routes that are impossible to cover? The Moss TD looked like a simple slant pattern, it wasn't like he ran out of the stadium and parachuted 70 yds towards the endzone.

I really believe this **** just happens to our franchise. Why not right?
