I am very confused as to why Morris is playing on 3rd downs. Ronnie was drafted, in part, because of his great hands. Why not keep him in.

Ricky also has average hands and is an option out of the backfield.

This seems like a dumbstedt move, not a Saban move. Any idea wh they have him in the game?

hes an extremely smart player who has good hands and can pass block....whats the problem? hes definitly not hurting the team by playing.

I agree.

I also wonder why Sammy is getting no carries. He's superior to Ricky at the moment and I'd rather let Sammy carry for positive yards then have Ricky get drilled in the backfield.

I agree he is god, he is third on our chart for a reason. Play the best player on crucial downs. Defense would hav to account for Ronnie more than Moris.

I think the reason why Morris is playing is his ability to pick up the blitz and pass protect. However, I would rather see Ronnie in there with his explosiveness that he is starting to show. Morris should just see the field on special teams right now.

Sabans giving everyone an oppertunity to play in situations he thinks they can succeed in. Players that dont get on the field want to make the most of the their oppertunities. Sammys made some nice plays. Whats wrong with using him?

It seems to me the answer is likely to be one of two things:

1) Ronnie isn't picking up the passing game that well. This seems rather unlikely given the catches he has already made.

OR

2) Nick is trying to ease Ronnie into things because he understands that Ronnie split time with Carnell last year. It's hard enough to adjust to the rigors of the NFL as a running back, but that makes it even tougher on Ronnie. Look at Tomlinson's rookie year -- he was totally out of gas by the end. Maybe Nick doesn't want that because he actually holds out some hope that the Dolphins will be able to make a run to finish out this year strong. It would be nice to have Ronnie leading the way there.
