Sammy was by far the fastest fin on the field yesterday. He looked explosive on that reception. He is def. faster than Ronnie Brown. I hope i'm wrong but Ronnie is looking like an average back. I know blame it on the offensive line but man he just seems slow.

Sammy Morris is not the player Ronnie is. He made ONE big play and now he's the fastest player on the field? Oh boy :shakeno:

Its the same stuff every week, blame Ronnie because he gets limited carries.

I guess you didn't see last week when he couldn't get around a defender to save his life and made ronnie browns 3 yard runs look amazing.

That play was nice though, I like having him on the team, but it was one play.

Sammy Morris faster than Ronnie?

Sammy Morris is inferior to Ronnie in every single aspect except vision, and it's not that wide of a gap. Sammy's only strength is vision. That's why you'll see him make a nice cutback once in a while.

I have to disagree. Ronnie Brown is a powerful runner. Sure he is not the fastest Running back in the league, but he is very fast for a player of his size. And you are right, it is the offensive line. Just like in Arizona. You've seen what edge can do in Indy, yet he has more attempts than yards in Arizona. That's not to say Edge sucks. In other words, I would not take Denver's 3 running backs over Ronnie Brown. Denver's running game consist of powerful O-lineman. Imagine what Ronnie Brown would do behind some bodies that are actually able to provide some gaping holes.

What has Ronnie done that is so spectacular. 3 100 yard games in a year and a half. This is not what you want out of your overall #2 pick. Face it for now he is average on a below average team.We need Ricky back.

sammy made one more play than ronnie, and thats what we need, competition. Saban should start him a game and challenge ronnie brown to make plays. that is what coaches like, to get the most out of the players. don't give them excuses, blocking etc. challenge them.

OHHHHH, so there it is. This isn't about Sammy Morris....its masked as a thread to bash Ronnie. And somehow you managed to bring Ricky into this. Nice, why don't you just post in the 1000 threads already created for this topic?

Why is it that all the Ronnie Brown haters forget what lack of success Ricky had running behind a crappy offensive line during his last year under Wanny? A great running back will make an average offensive line look good, and a great offensive line will make an average running back look good, but a terrible offensive line will make the running back, quarterback, and wide receivers look like garbage!

I agree with your last sentence about the offensive line, but the Ricky comment I don't understand. Ricky has only had one season under 1,000 yards in Miami and that was last year, which he only played 12 games. He actually wasn't even playing when Wanny was here his last year. He was probably the main reason Wanny ended up getting fired, which I have to thank him for getting that accomplished! Ricky has a natural talent at running back which is rare to see. Ronnie I think will be a great running back with time, but he has a completely different style than Ricky's. I think he needs to be coached more cause he lacks that natural vision Ricky has, but he will be incredible to watch with time. He has already shown how good he is if you look at him carefully. I think once he gets his dancing around to stop more, and just hits the holes, he is a scary guy to bring down. As to the original thread about Morris, GIVE ME A BREAK!!! I'm not even gonna go into such a ridiculous comparison because of ONE play.
